As per our planning, Shenaya, Jungkook, and I are now standing in front of the observation center. Our meeting with Witzie will happen here. If my hunches are correct, as we move further in, we will meet the most dangerous and psychotic people in the entire universe.

It is at this place, which looks nothing like that, where all the darkest stuff is compressed in. The Prison, according to our ancestors, on another planet as Witzie is an alien.

Its building stood tall, kissing the sky, in a few thirty blocks up. As per our studies, there are more underneath. Two suns were shining too brightly for my likeness. This was not our galaxy where we are in right now. The conical trees and bushes were tracing the path which we are now traveling. It was a beautiful place, this beauty made all the danger into the penumbra.

As we reached further, we could see the guards like small dots standing beside the enormous doors. Two were escorting us to our destination.

Upon reaching the door, they scanned our ID-card giving us pointed glares. The guards with us motioned us to walk forward once the scanning was done with.

There was an unusually quiet aura around all of us. Especially me, I could feel the butterflies in my stomach doing somersaults. My palm was sweatier than usual. More than anything, the thoughts about Taehyung were pestering my mind.

The guards took us some blocks up and followed the path with some number of turns and diversions. I am lost here if I try to run.

Upon reaching one among those many doors, the guards halted and turned to us.

"He is in here. Remember, if he tries anything, press the red button on the table." The guard reminded us once again. I would be the better word than us.

It was just me who went in.

As I walked in with my heart in my throat, I could see Witzie, seated on a chair behind a desk onto which it locked his hands with cuffs. Dressed in the gray shaded uniform. His head dropped into his hands. The metal cuffs moved with a slight clink as he breathed.

It was an equally terrifying and saddening sight. The one person I trusted enough when all things went burdensome, he is now in front of me because he broke the trust of not just me, but the whole people on my planet who chose him to be potential enough to safeguard their life.

With shaking hands, I pulled out the chair in front of him and sat down with a safe distance between us.

Our gazes met when he lifted his head. The person in front of me right now is not the Witzie that I have seen since my childhood. He was a bright, cheerful person who usually wore a crisp, clean tux that was well fitted for this reputation. His once neatly combed hair was all bedraggled. His eyes were shrunk into the skull, purple bags underneath his red eyes. The corners of his mouth curled up with a scowl as if mocking me. The metals rumbled violently as he tried moving his hands towards me, making me sink further into the metal chair that I sat.

He shook his head and sighed. His gaze pierced into mine. My breathing hitched as he opened his mouth, wetting his lips to speak.

"You must know the entire story. That's why I called you." He spoke. "Things are not what you think it is."

"Then what is happening? Why did you abduct Taehyung?" I spoke up with the leftover pinch of courage.

His fist collided with the desk in front, with the metal sounds. "He ruined all that I made."

Our eyes held in contact as he spoke further.

"The accident in your parents' lab, well it was not an accident. You must've known that by now." His fist still curled as clutching onto the metal cuffs, tightly.

"They experimented. Just for some analysis. Turned out, they had the weapon to destroy my years of hard work."

I kept silent as he proceeded further with his point of view.

"That thing which you made, the hybrid. He too found that out." His voice raised an octave by octave as he spoke.

"He dared to overthrow me!" He continued.

"So I too played my High Minister card. How do you think he got tested negative in the testing?" My eyes went wide. So they framed Taehyung.

"You know, I was living my life so peacefully when that hybrid of yours began sabotaging it. First, before the testing, he said that I should know about the chemical in the water and that I have done nothing yet. It seemed highly suspicious to your hybrid." He paused, looking straight at me.

With a scoff, he went again, "the only chance that I had was the testing. I made all the plans well enough so he won't pass. My team did not disappoint me either. They did the perfect role in executing the plan."

He tried pulling the metal chains again, making red patterns on his alien skin.

His voice yet again broke the sound of the chains. "But then, you came in sabotaging it asking for a few days more. But that did not stress me out. You know why?"

His eyes found mine again, making chills run down my spine.

"Because I knew I would end him even before the testing would happen."

My heart stopped beating. I could see darkness sweeping from the peripheral vision. As if someone tightened a screw on my lungs, I couldn't breathe.

"So where is he?" My voice was feeble yet loud enough for him to make the words out.

"What do you think?" He had a sinister smile plastered on his face.

That smile killed all my hopes. That smile killed my light. I could see the darkness spread all around me as if someone photoshopped the complete scene in front of me in the Bokeh effect.

I tried standing up, despite the shining silver lights around me. My legs grew weaker and weaker and weaker. Each step I took ahead, it was as if Witzie had me on chains; I was dragging myself.

I couldn't take it anymore. Something in my heart broke, that was enough for me. My legs gave up on my body, making me slump down on the floor with a thud. The darkness covered my vision as I faded away from reality.
