Today was the day. Taehyung was getting tested again today.
After all the dramatic events that happened a week before, thankfully none of the cyborgs nor the hybrids were harmed; not even a paper cut.
I was waiting outside the same testing room that I waited in a few months before.
Everything the same, except the people with me. It was just Shenaya and Jungkook. The authority did not allow the hybrids to tag along with us.
What changes occurred in few days were tremendous.
Witzie was testified to be guilty and was given life imprisonment for neglecting duty, massacre, and kidnap.
They gave the post of Public Representative to humans. They even planned to make it an election. Zargon being the only human in the intergalactic police force, was a candidate.
The other hybrids were given access to pursue their choice of jobs and permission to date.
Shenaya and Jungkook started dating officially a few days back.
I waited patiently in front of the door, waiting for Taehyung to arrive.
The wait did not last any longer. The door cracked open with Taehyung with the biggest smile painted on his face.
He held the certificate in one hand and the other in his pocket. He reached us and took hold of my hand with his.
"Passed." He was beaming with happiness.
"You would be," Shenaya added.
"Ok then, as per our plan, we split up here." Jungkook reminded.
Looking straight into my eyes, Taehyung spoke in his deep voice, "can't wait to."
The way he looked at me gave me some kind of feelings. The butterflies in my stomach went on somersaulting again. A sudden coldness spread across my body, making my face go red.
I swear I could hear the other both laughing as Taehyung held my shoulder as we walked towards the main door.
Never once did he leave my hands as we walked around the foreign planet. The weather was a pleasant one. Not too cold, not too warm. Just the right measure. They called it the spring, something that we didn't have back on Earth.
I could see trees colored in all the shades of pink as we walked by the road. The cherry blossom, they called it. The flower looked so delicate as the wind blew them with it.
We walked with an unsteady space between us, occasionally brushing our shoulders and hands, his smirks following it, and my embarrassed face after seeing his smirk.
But this time when our hands brushed, he held on to my pinky finger. Slowly engulfing my small palm in his larger one. Pulling me more towards his side.
The weather was perfect and the location too. The sight was a magnificent one. All the roads paved in pink and white, with blue sky and the spring wind adding more authentication to the view.
He halted, making my back to crash against his chest as he pulled my hands with him. Placing his hands on both my shoulders, he turned me around.
"We did not have a proper first kiss, did we?" His eyes lingered around my lips. So did mine. That mole on his lips, especially.
"I don't think so!" I beamed.
"Ok then." He leaned forward with a smile on his face.
His lips pressing against mine with gentle pressure, mine moving along with like it's a dance.
The moment was magical.
Kissing under the cherry blossom. That was a dream come true. I've always seen couples the dating app advertisement doing so. This is the most wonderful feeling ever.
In the arms of your loved one, under the most beautiful scene, sharing a passionate kiss with the hope of a better tomorrow.
