Matias laughed after seeing the expression on Jessica's face.
"Don't worry, it's not that interesting of a secret."

Jessica stared at him with the same grim face she had on before.
He walked closer to her and brought his voice to a whisper, "I put the Vice Captain patch next to Chiedza's bed yesterday."

Jessica took in a sharp breath, "What?! You-!"
Matias put a hand over her mouth. "Shh! I'm only telling you because I trust you. You won't tell anyone, right?"
Jessica had a blanket of fear over her eyes; she tried to move his hand but couldn't. He stared at her until she seemed to calm down, and then let go.

"I didn't kill Gan, believe me. I wouldn't lie to you." He smirked.

Jessica looked up at him with some curiosity.
"I found the patch, though. It was in the admin room. Seemed like someone was using it to get into the system. Probably how the nuclear meltdown happened. Smart, actually."

Jessica narrowed her eyes. "So Chiedza has it now?"
"I saw her give it to Prem."
"Prem?! But he's..."

"The imposter?" Matias laughed, "You think so too?"
Jessica's eyes trembled. Why was everybody acting so strange?

"Maybe you should have voted for him back there. Simi wouldn't have died needlessly," Matias crossed his arms.
"That wasn't-!" Jessica dropped her voice to a whisper, "That wasn't my fault! He was stupid enough to be standing over Raha's body!"

"He was unlucky enough to get caught there. Just like you could've been unlucky enough to be seen with a gun in your hands. His blood is on your hands as much as it is on mine, and I voted for him." Matias smiled.

Jessica's eyes felt numb and puffy; all the tears she had to cry over her lost crew mates were spent yesterday. "What do you want?" She managed to get out.
"Nothing. Let's just wait." He said, looking serious again.

The two turned to look in the direction of a patter of footsteps. Kandor walked over to them.
"Hi," he said, nodding at them.

"Hey!" Matias smiled, looking more cheery than he was before. Jessica feigned a smile.
"Any updates? Is everyone accounted for?" He asked Matias.

Jessica raised an eyebrow. "What?"

"Oh. The two of us have been trying to account for everyone. Putting ourselves on the line to... see if we can find the imposter." Kandor said, putting his hands in his pockets with a smile.

"It's not her, I'm pretty sure." Matias said, glancing at Jessica.
She looked at him, looking defeated. "Why aren't you guys working on your tasks instead?"

"We are. Just... there's more important things for us to be doing. You understand what I mean?" Kandor sighed.
"No, no I don't." She stressed, getting increasingly agitated.

"Think about it. We should start sticking to specific people to see if they're the imposter. I just left Chantelle and Prem. Prem's... staying quiet. We should keep an eye on him, though."

Jessica shook her head ever so slightly. She stared at Matias. "I just can't trust..."

The alarm suddenly blared. "Code 1: Dead body reported. Gather in the cafeteria immediately."

All three of them stared at each other and broke into a sprint towards the cafeteria.

Everybody arrived at the center of the cafeteria, as the steam cleaning ended and the doors closed.
Chantelle was sobbing softly, while Chiedza hugged her and rubbed her back.

Assisi looked around, "Who...?"
Kandor stumbled back a bit, "Prem—"

About an hour ago, Prem was standing in Communications along with Chantelle and Kandor. He was lounging on the chair and spinning around occasionally.

"Prem? Not gonna work?" Chantelle asked with a laugh, as she soldered a frayed connection next to the desk. Kandor stood by the door, watching the two and looking bored as well.

Prem glanced at Kandor, "He's not working either."
Chantelle sighed, "Well, he's obsessed with a game only he's playing by himself right now."

"Or getting an alibi," Prem said.

"Or making sure one of you doesn't off the other while you're alone." Kandor grumbled.
Prem turned on the screen in front of him, "We don't even know if you're innocent."

"I do, though. That's all that matters," he responded.
"Is it?" Prem said sarcastically.

Chantelle groaned and looked between the two of them. "What's happened to us?"
Prem shrugged, "It won't matter anyway. None of this will matter. So I suggest you both calm down."

The screen pulled up an album of videos, and the three of them recognized it to be the reel of the previous planets they'd visited on their mission.

Kandor's eyes widened and he scoffed, "You're going to waste time going down memory lane?"
"Nothing better to do now that they're not with me," he responded, pointing to a picture of him squeezed between Raha and Gan, smiling happily on the tiny patch of rocky land they'd found on a planet of mostly water.

Prem smiled, and played a video.
