Dean's POV
The walk through the city was mysterious. I honestly didn't know where we were going. "Hey, Chucky. If you don't mind me asking... What are you looking for?"
The doll sighed heavily. "Why the hell should I tell you? Sorry but I'm not in the mood to talk about it. But what the fuck... You guys are walking with me so you'll figure it out."
Shrugging my shoulders, I looked at Dennis. He looked like he was acting differently. Just by his facial expression I could tell. We had that connection like that. Obviously I wouldn't ask in front of Chucky.
The moon shone bright in the sky, lighting the streets and the sidewalks. The alleys stood dark. That was where we mostly walked through. Being talking and human dolls, we couldn't let anyone see us. Like what the hell would happen?
After a while, I saw the Good Guy doll getting impatient. He started muttering to himself and started to walk faster. I would always have to catch up to him. Rolling up my sleeves, I breathed in the cold night air. Surprisingly I could see really well in the dark. Maybe it was because of these bright blue eyes.
As the walk continued, I realized it was the same way that me and Chucky had ran from a few hours ago. I did recall hearing him say that he dropped something...
"How much longer?" Dennis whined. I glanced over at my blonde friend. He hated walking as much as me. Honestly, were we even where we needed to be yet?
"It's ok, Denny. But, Chucky? Are-"
I stopped to be cut off by the doll."Just shh. I'm trying to concentrate here."
I glared at the Good Guy doll. What the hell were you exactly trying to concentrate on?
"Shit don't tell me... Oh fuck! No no no!"
Chucky's cries of distain echoed. He scanned the ground carefully for the missing object. This was the spot where I had bumped into him earlier. Then I suddenly spotted a puddle of blood deeper in the alley we were standing in. What could've happened there? Out of curiosity I began to walk slowly up to the scene. Of course, Denny followed me.
The blood puddle looked new like it just happened maybe an hour ago. Some of it had seeped into the ground. I almost threw up staring at it for so long. Swallowing away my sickness, I glanced back at Chucky, who was still having no luck trying to find what he needed to find.
That's it. I needed to find out what this thing was.
"Any luck?" I asked, pretending to think he could possibly find it.
"No! It must've been taken! Shit!"
"By who?"
"The fucking cops. They were here before I bumped into you a while ago."
"Does that explain the blood puddle?" I asked, pointing at the red liquid.
Chucky looked at me not denying anything. "Yeah, I killed somebody. And I had a good reason. They were trying to rape somebody. Fucking scumbag deserved it."
"Shit," I muttered. "And this happened right before we saw each other?"
"Yeah. But luckily for me, I won't ever get caught." He chuckled.
"Wait, if the police could've taken the amulet? Wait, that was what you were looking for right?"
I spun to face Dennis. How the hell did he know?! Probably had better hearing than me.
Chucky nodded. "Ha, you pay attention, Dennis. Good job."
The Happy Hero doll smiled. "Thank you! But anyway, why don't you check the police station? It's the one place that you could possibly find it."
The young doll shrugged, awaiting Chucky's response. That's when the red head smiled maliciously. "Yes, why didn't I think of that? You're smart, blondie."
"So let's go. It'll be easy to get around the city since it's dark. Better to take advantage now." I said.
"But do you know where it is?" Dennis asked me.
I shook my head. "No. Maybe Chucky does."
Chucky's eyes shone brightly like he had got a sudden idea. Being a murderer he must know where the station is.
"As a matter of fact I do. Mostly because I have some old friends there."
