On our way to pickup Liam, Kenzie starts telling us about the new girl. She had meant her earlier when she was wondering the halls trying to get out of Chemistry during 4th period. "Her names Avery. Her parents ran a portion of a huge company in England and were transferred to a new unit here in Washington they're are opening. She's rlly sweet. And her accent makes her sound really sexy." Kenzie laughed.
Eric turned around shocked at what she said. "What the Mackenzie? You're dating one of my best friends and you're saying that a GIRL"he empathized, "is sexy?"
I mean I kinda agreed with him. But she had taking my breath away when I saw her walk into the cafeteria. And during Chorus. And when she walked out to practice today. But I'm straight right? I'm in love with Eric. I'm sleeping with Eric. I'm straight. I have to be. I tried convincing myself. "I mean she was kinda hot babe" I laughed joining into the conversation. "I mean I'd kill for her body. And if I were her. And British"I sighed. "Believe me you probably wouldn't even be able to keep up" I laughed. So did Kenzie.
"Yea. But that's an if. And you're you. And your mine." He brought his hand over to my thigh as he pulled up in front of Liam's middle school. He was in 8th grade. Because of his age, he started school late or he would be at Washington High with me.
"Hey baby bro." I said as he climbed in the backseat of Eric's firebird beside Kenzie.
He kissed me and Kenzie as he got in. "Hey, guys. Hey, Eric. You still gonna practice with me tonight before dinner? If I don't keep it up, then who's gonna replace you next year when you leave" he joked with Eric.
"I guess it'll have to be you. But I don't think it'll be easy trying to replace the star quarterback, Liam" Eric joked back and drive us home.
Since we were leaving from Liam's school I took us about 20 minutes to get home. As soon as Eric pulled up out front, Liam jumped out and went in. Eric opens Kenzie's then came around and opened the door for me. He walked in holding my hand even though I was a bit ahead of him talking with Kenzie. "I'm excited for tonight. Sienna and Rose are coming. They're parents haven't let them out on a school night since school started." I laughed to Kenzie. Sienna and Rose Turner were our friends from cheer and dance. We had been cheering and dancing together since we were 12. They're twins. They're the only people besides our group of 4 we let in. They both have dirty blonde hair but Sienna is very tomboy. And Rose is very very girly. When they match sometimes you can barely tell the difference. But it's only once in a blue moon the match anymore.they haven't match since freshman year when their mom let them wear whatever they wanted.
"Dad said I can take the Tesla to school tomorrow since it's all 6 of us."I told Kenzie.
"Really? That's great! I get the front seat of course"we laughed.
"You're taking the Tesla to school the day I'm not driving you" he spun me around to meet his eyes as we reached the door.
I laughed. "Yes. Plus, you know daddy said you can't drive any of his cars even when we're married."
Eric rolled his eyes and we went inside. He kissed my cheek and went outback to throw the football with Liam while Kenzie and I ran upstairs to my room. Since Mom and Daddy are rich, our house is huge. Not that I don't love it. But it's just a lot sometimes. Imma room is literally like this giant suite like in the Princess Diaries when they show Mia's suite at her grandmother's palace. My house isn't quite as big as a palace but it's still huge. We have 3 living rooms, a eat-in dinning area, a formal dining room, and a smaller dining room. My bedroom has a living room with in it, a huge en-suite bathroom and huge walk in closest. Attached is an small study. Across the hall from my is the home theatre and game room. And that's not even everything. I think we have a library downstairs in the basement next to the gym. I've live here all almost 18 years of my life and I still haven't been everywhere I my own home. I'm honestly excited to leave for college at the end of the year with the girls and Eric. Our parents want us living on campus for s year then they said we can all get an apartment together. Mom is more open to Eric living with us than Dad is.
"Umm hello! Emilia Nicole Adams!! What the hell!! Earth to Emily!" Kenzie snapped me out of my dream of freedom.
"What? Huh? Sorry. I was thinking about college next year and finally living on our own. And I'm so exited to go to Vanderbilt with you guys. I mean yes we're moving all the way across the country but I'm so excited we're all going to school together." I smiled.
Kenzie laughed at me, "Me too. But I was asking about what we're gonna wear to dinner."
"Oh"i laughed. "Umm how about we wear our dresses from the doctors ball last month? The black and blue ones?" I suggested.
"Oh my god! Yea! I love those dresses"she smiled. We got dressed. Daddy doesn't like the back of the black one but I wore it anyway. It was slim and smooth. It came about halfway down my thighs. With an overhaul top and open back. Kenzie's was a blue frill sun dress that was about the same length with a single strap and no sleeves either.
We stayed up there talking
And gossiping about the guys for a little while until Eric knocked on my door before opening it. "Babe, it's time to go or we'll be late." He stepped in my room all the way. He was wearing something simple but it still showed off his arms and his chest. He had on a plain white tee, black jeans and a simple black blazer.
"Well damn, Eric. You look pretty good"Kenzie said before I could.
I laughed. "You read my mind" we all three laughed. Kenzie and I grabbed some black cardigans from my closet and the three of us went downstairs to Liam waiting by the front door. He looked like a mini Eric except his hair was brown and messy instead of slicked back and blonde like my baby's.
"You two are finally ready? You take forever!"Liam complained before opening the front door to go get in the back seat of my car.
Eric took my keys from me as I picked them up from the hook by the door. "Babe! It's my car come on!" I sighed.
"You're too pretty to drive." He kissed me and walked outside.
Kenzie laughed and rolled her eyes standing with me while I locked the door. We went over to get in my car and Eric opened my door from the inside and then we left to head for dinner.
We always went to the same place every week. It was where our dads' took our moms' on their first date. They were best friends in high school too. So were our moms.
Eric pulled the car upfront of the restaurant to the valet. He gave the valet the keys and opens my door and Kenzie's and walked me in on his arm and Kenzie walked in on Liam's. You'd think Liam was our age the way he looked. He's the same height as me. And he's already growing into his body. He just occasionally looks like a sophomore the way he dresses and his constantly messy hair.
"Darling, your here" my mother said as we approached the table. I kissed mom and dad. And then April and Jacob. Kenzie and Lima did the same then took the seats across from us.
"Mr. Adams. Dr. A."Eric kisses my mother hello and shook my fathers hand. "Sorry were late. The girls couldn't figure out what they want to wear"he spoke to our parents.
My father looked at my dress in disapproval, "clearly Emily didn't have any real clothes to put on."
I looked down for a moment. Then I felt Eric's hand on my thigh and Kenzie struck up a conversation with our moms and me about cheer.
"Are you and some of the girls still going to Emily's tonight, sweetie?" April asked her daughter.
"Yes mother. As long as it's still alright."she asked afraid it might now be forbidden for the night.
"It's perfectly fine. Your brother was going to Sam's tonight anyway. It'll give your father and I a nice quiet night alone." April approved.
I looked beside me to Eric who was listening to Liam speak to Jacob about football. "Eric? You didn't tell me this? Why didn't you tell me you were going to Sam's when the guys were talking about it earlier?" I questioned concerned about him not telling me.
"Oh. I guess i figured you just knew by the way we were all talking. I'm sorry, babe. If it's not okay I go hangout with the boys while you have a girls night I can stay home." He sounded so upset that I hadn't known.
"No, baby. It's fine. I just didn't know. Of course you can hang out with them. You need a boys night too."I smiled at him and held his hand and squeezed it where it was on my thigh.
After dinner we all said our goodbyes. And I kissed April and Jacob goodnight. "I'll see you tomorrow night when I drop off Kenzie after school, April" we both smiled.
Kenzie and Liam rode with us like we had arrived and my parents drove home separately. When we got home, Liam ran inside to change cuz he hated wearing stuff like this. Eric walked Kenzie and I in and was in there with us like 5 minutes when Mandy and Lana pulled up and came up to the door, knocked once and came In to is. A few seconds after, so did Sienna and Rose. Except they knocked and waited. I laughed and went and opened the door.
"Hey, Emily. I hope you don't mind we brought our neighbor. She's new and doesn't have many friends. This is Avery Landon." Sienna said and stepped over some so I could see her.
It was her. My heart skipped a beat at seeing her face and I couldn't move or speak.
