Chapter 7 : Legion of Doomskull

Later that same day, Crimson Storm A.K.A Casey Jaybeck was stationed in her midtown apartment.

She was stepping out of the shower and wrapped a towel around herself, as she went into the living room.

Her supersuit was draped across a tan couch in the middle of the room.

She then went into her bedroom and picked out black leggings, a red short sleeved shirt, and black bra and panties and once she was satisfied, she then got dressed and hung up her towel in the bathroom.

Casey then sat on the couch and turned on the tv and began to relax.

But then, the program was interrupted.

The screen was black for a few seconds, until a logo appeared.

It was a skull, that suddenly burst into blue flames making the logo much more sinister.

"Do not attempt to fix your television screens."
"This is a message to all citizens of Crimson City, Doomskull is back!"

A modulated voice exclaimed.

The logo faded and a man wearing a gray metallic skull mask and a black hooded cloak appeared.

Casey glared at the tv, her fists clenched at her sides.

Doomskull spoke again.

"This time around, I have a legion of villains at my disposal and nothing will stop us in our total conquest of this pitiful city!"

"I also have a message to your so called Villain Slayer."

"Crimson Storm, turn yourself in to me or Kristina Jaybeck and her child Julie will die!"

He said, as the camera panned over to two women tied with chains and gagged with black cloths standing behind Doomskull.

Casey couldn't believe her eyes.

N-No, this can't be happening!

She thought.

"Come to Crimson Tower, alone otherwise these two shall die in the slowest way possible!"

Doomskull finished.

And then, the screen went blank and returned to the original program.

Casey stood in place, silently for a moment.

But then she began to sob, tears streaming down her face.

Casey turned away from the tv and fell to her knees on the carpet.

She buried her face in her hands, still crying.

This is all my fault, I shouldn't have let revenge and anger consume me, because of it my mom and Julie might die!

She thought.

Casey then slowly got to her feet.

She grabbed her supersuit and stared at it .

"I understand now, my senseless revenge was completely selfish of me to pursue."
"I have to put it aside for now, and save my family!"

She said.

I'm so sorry dad, but this will make everything right, I swear it will!

She thought to herself.

And then she began to suit up and formulate a plan that could help her stop Doomskull once and for all.
