In a different galaxy, not to distant from Farside, a small area began to ripple as a dark sphere grew from a point in space within.
"Aaaaaahhh!!" It said in a soft whisper.
It started spinning, slowly at first, then quickly picking up speed until everything was slowly drawn to it. It absorbed everything around it and beyond, not growing in size but growing in density, until the entire star cluster was consumed. A small purplish glow began to form from within. It grew brighter and brighter until it shot out both sides of the sphere in a continuous stream. Its spinning slowed to a stop as the beams dissipated, leaving the sphere a bright purple ball of energized plasma.
The dark void had now become a living star.
It shot off a small short beam into space before the area began to ripple. The purple star disappeared.
