Kaito hears a knock on his door. Sighing, he goes to answer it. Outside, the supreme leader is standing there, holding his plush, he looks kind of panicked, but the astronaut can't trust him yet.

"Why are you here?" He asks, his tone angry.

"I'm sorry... I had a bad dream and I.. I hoped-"

"To try trick me again? I'm not going to fall for it."

"Right... Sorry for wasting your time." He closes the door for Motoma, who proceeds to listen.

"I messed up... I really messed up..." He murmurs quietly. The astronaut guesses that he's crying. He sighs, going back to his bed.

Did I do the right thing?

The next day, Ouma doesn't show up, nor the day after. Everyone begins to wonder where he is. Some say "good riddance". Well, almost everyone does. Maki just smiles when she remembers, and Kaito and Shuichi don't react to it at all. Internally, the astronaut has a lot of guilt.

What is Ouma doing? Is he okay? Did I cause this? How can I fix it?

Meanwhile, Kokichi had been spending all his time in his room. He stared at his board until his eyes hurt, got a random memory that caused him to have a mental breakdown, and sleep around an hour in smaller naps in a day.

He was in the middle of one of his moments staring at his board when Kaito walks in.

"Ouma..? What are you doing?"

The boy flicks his head around, putting on a fasçade. A grin spreads on his face, but even that couldn't hide the extremely large eyebags under his eyes.

"I was just figuring out who to kill! Hmmm... " He writes a note saying "kill him" near Kaito's picture. The astronaut sighs.

"Is this about what I said earlier?"

"Nope! That didn't hurt me at all~ Stupid boy, thinking that you could~" He continues to stare at the board, faking his complete confidence.

"Are.. you sure? You seemed pretty down..."

"That was the trick, wasn't it? It's all lies! Just lying until I drop down dead! It's not like I'm going to be missed!" Tears start falling down his face, and the leader begins to laugh hysterically like he'd lost his mind. It quickly transfers into sobbing. Motoma hugs the other boy tightly, just letting him sob for a bit.

As the sobbing wears off, they both sit down on Kokichi's bed. The leader is curled up on himself, the astronaut filled with guilt.

"Ouma... I'm sorry for how I treated you."

"It's okay... I'm sorry I lied about lying... I just got really.. scared, I guess." He says, before a yawn starts to spread over his face.

"Uh... Do you want me to stay over tonight?"

"If you're okay with staying... I wouldn't be mad if you were still mad."

"I'm not. And you need to eat tomorrow."

"Mhmmm." He begins to tuck himself into the bed. Kaito turns on the nightlight before doing the same.

"I still hate you, you know."

"Okay. Goodnight, Motoma-chan!"

"Night, Ouma."

The two boys drift off to sleep easily that night, the familiarity of each other chasing away all their nightmares.
