Before Queen's Obsession, Approximately 13 years ago Before the events of Lunatic ended.
Jisoo had no idea why she ever agreed to be in here. Their mother and father insisted they come and participate. So the two siblings never really had a choice, they never always have a choice for what they wish to do. Thus, the game begins.
Their relatives from Korea had come to visit them and their family went into a festive mood. The desolate and cold manor became livelier than how it was with only the Kim's and their staff. It was evening, and the sea of people in their vast property made it a little hard to navigate through the corridors.
But of course, there were areas everyone was prohibited to enter-- like the second floor and above. For only be the ground floor was open to the mass. The guests respected it, for the most part-- Jisoo heard that some were kicked out of the party due to them discovered in snooping around the top level floors.
Jisoo could careless, there's more that she wants than to isolate and lock herself in the library. But such action would be frowned upon by her parents-- she was the Heiress, thus she was recquired to socialize with the investors and people of like.
Some faces, Jisoo was familiar with-- while others were not. The people she was familiar with were those she had met when her father brought her to their company building-- she noted most were men from their late forties to the senior ages. Jisoo likes to call them cowardly generals, because even though these men held some power in their company-- they still bowed down to someone, and that is Jisoo's father.
If Jisoo feared her mother due to her unpredictable and lunacy behaviour-- Jisoo respected her father due to his shackling hold and domineering behaviour to those who works under, and for him.
Those whom Jisoo was not familiar with may be people who works under them or are just plain elites who wish to link themselves with the Kim's-- both envious and greedy from the benefits they'd attain if they ever got the chance to be close with the kin. Jisoo saw these people as nothing more than slimy gits, small ants she wishes to trample from their disgusting folly behavior-- if they think her family would ever spare some time with them, then they must have prayed hard to Jisoos.
So Jisoo had no choice but to socialize with such people. With that plastic smile that's hurting her lips and the faux kind attitude that makes her want to barf. Our world is now built upon lies and deceit where everyone would not hesitate to dirty their hands if it means becoming the person at the pinnacle of the pyramid.
The Heiress thought this whole thing as foolish, why hasn't the Kim's opted to just have a peaceful and relaxing family reunion? Why do a lavish party? Powerplay? Or was it to boast the luxury that they hold? Her family's arrogance was off the roofs, but she supposes that it runs in their blood. Even Jisoo or Jennie was too arrogant for their own good.
Jisoo just hopes her face wouldn't be plastered on the tabloids the next day, but by the looks of it-- no press were present so that's good. The people in here wouldn't be idiotic enough to talk their mouths off unless they catch the Kim clans ire. Jisoo wasn't fond of being talked about by the media, and her parents were careful enough to not release any photos of heiress-- yet.
The same can be said to her little sister, not much is known about the two young Kim's other than their names. Even though the Kim's were quite known, they still favor privacy above all. So that's why this whole party celebration annoys Jisoo to no end.
If someone compliments Jisoo one more time with 'You look really pretty' just to get in her good graces-- she'd be really tempted to grab one of those fireplace poles to stab or bash them in the face, better yet, she'd borrow a gun from her watch to shoot those people dead. She sounds dramatic but if you hear those exact same words being said to you more than a dozen times (she lost count), then you'd be close in wanting to pull your hair off.
