- Two weeks later... -
The Peace Festival went into full swing. The celebrations of a potential end to the war between their kingdoms started off excellently with every kind of entertainment accessible to all, and even cuisine from various parts of the Kingdom of Helesta.
It was a great start.
Lize and (Falric) often found themselves enjoying the festivities together with either with their friends or just the two of them. They sometimes simply bumped into each other or they looked for the other, something that their friends, particularly Toko and Ange noticed.
The times that Lize and (Falric) spent on are usually simple things like having dinner together or playing the games in the carnival. The citizens were quick to catch on the frequency of the two royals from different lands spending time together and many were quick to assume that the two are on a romantic get-together, however that meant.
As for the others, they were having the time of their life. It was obvious that the Helestans have spent a lot of funding and time preparing for this historical moment, and it has went flawlessly so far. It is a way to make the foreigners and their soon-to-be former enemies feel that they are welcomed and that the Helestans wanted peace as much as they want and it is working.
Once the Peace Festival has concluded, negotiations will take place to make the peace finally official between the four kingdoms, but until then, the celebrations must go on.
Lize is currently wandering the well-decorated streets of their capital city with no one with her but Sebastian and a few royal guards who kept their distance enough to watch over her without disrupting her peace. She had just managed to get away from the princes of the other houses with the help of Toko and Ange and even a witch called Nui Sociere, and while she felt bad for leaving them to deal with the troublesome princes, she was thankful for her friends that she won't have to do so.
While wandering, she found two Felgardians, both of them seemingly of high status and likely the emissaries sent by the southern kingdom. One of them soon left after their apparent argument, and Lize walked over to ask the remaining Felgardian of what had transpired.
"Excuse me, but is there something you need help with?" Lize politely asked the Felgardian who turned to acknowledge her.
"Ah! Greetings, Princess Lize, and thanks for the offer but I have to decline. I'd rather not trouble you with such trivialities." The Felgardian said to her as he fixed his attire for any faults. Lize nodded in understanding. "Do call me Giazza, your Highness. I am the acting emissary on behalf of the House of Scalesrod." He introduced himself.
"It's good to meet you, Sir Giazza. Who was the other one you were just talking to? Is he a royal?" Lize asked and Sir Giazza nodded in confirmation.
"Yes, indeed. He is Prince Kaldan of the House of Littorio and we're were just discussing some... financial agreements, if you would." Sir Giazza explained to Lize as they start walking towards the plaza.
"If you don't mind me asking, Sir Giazza – what do you think of Prince (Falric)?" Lize would ask the elder Felgardian which piqued the latter's interest.
"Ahh, I heard about you two; about how you have been spending a large sum of time with the Second Prince since the festival began. I must say, your citizens seem to enjoy talking about the Second Princess of Helesta, and how well you two look together." The elder Felgardian said as he recalled the times when he spoke to some Helestans and hearing about the two.
"I- is that so?" Lize stuttered, attempting to hide her flustered face to no avail. Sir Giazza noticed it and chuckled.
"Hah, young love." He commented, much to Lize's embarrassment. "Anyways, back to your question... I couldn't say much since I am from the coastal cities and Prince (Falric) is from the mainland, but from the time that I observed the young lad, I can say that he is a resolute and intelligent one." Giazza said as an answer to Lize question.
