Next In Line

Lucy's POV

London had taken me in a room where...a gate was. I gasped in horror. My mother had told me the story of this gate. A man named Alu had closed this gate over 900 years ago. It was a threat. Every now and then, demons would arrive and kill everything they saw or liked. They even came close to ruling this world, until..the very first person to have magic was born which was Alu. He was kept secret and at the age of 17, he closed and destroyed the gate but it cost him his life.

London began laughing and took me by my hair and dragged me out of the room.

"STOP!" I yelled.

We reached another room but...this looked different. It was full of swords and machines I didn't know.

I have a bad feeling about this.

"Alright. Speak. Who are your parents?" London asked.

I remained silent. What does that have to do with any of this???

"Very well...let's see if this MAKES YOU TALK!"

He grabbed some sort of dagger and stabbed it on my left thigh.

"ARGHH!" I screamed.

"Who are your parents."

"L-Layla and Jude Heartfillia.."

"I can't believe it." He gasped.

"YES YES YES! You're prefect! You're the next in line! Oh...your magic must be so damn powerful! We just need to activate it. Lord yes!" He exclaimed.

Next in line? Powerful?

I couldn't help but feel scared.

Natsu..wait no. Lucy, forget him. He's just a damned bastard who doesn't care about you. If you die it'd be fine by him.

"What do you mean next in line? Who's in front of me?"

"You'll turn 18 in a few days am I right? You, sweetheart, will be the next celestial queen. Queen of the all beings, Lucy Heartfillia."

"Pfft...yeah right. That's cheesy as hell."

"Oh but it's true. Tell me, your mother Layla, who was she."

"She was..was.."

"She was queen. But she died...you will take her place. It's fine if you don't believe me. All I need is to suck your power out, get some information out of you, let you heal, and use you to open the gate to hell."

There was an evil laughter coming out of him.

I noticed my keys on his pocket as he turned around to go get another sword.

I began murmuring lowly so he wouldn't hear me.

"I call forth thy celestial force, help me open a gate with no key...Open gate of the scorpion, Scorpio!"

"Star dress:Scorpio!"

Scorpio's gate opened and I transformed, everything happened so fast London wasn't able to react.

"TIME TO GET WICKED!" Scorpio yelled as we both attacked him.

"You brat! GUARDS!"

A few guards entered the room but we dodged their attacks which hit London instead.

"See you around!" I winked.

I ran out the room with Scorpio.

"Where too?? WHERE EVEN ARE WE?" He asked.

"I still don't know, but we must try and destroy that gate!"

"No." Scorpio said.

"THE HELL?? why not?!"

"If we do then you'll die. My last master was Alu, you know about him. It was painful to see him die so young. I won't let that happen to you." He said, still running down the hall.

What now?

There was a sudden blast which hit Scorpio and made him disappear.

"STAY SAFE!" he yelled before leaving.

I changed back to normal but was then grabbed by guy, I looked around and it was London.

I kicked him where the sun don't shine. He let go, giving me a chance to run. I made it too some stairs and started to climb up.

I reached a window halfway up. What I saw outside I wasn't expecting, yet knew something like this would happen.

We were up in the air and it seemed like we were moving across a body of water. I felt myself panic, remembering rather Tartaros War. I shaked it off and broke the window.

I need to jump...

I got up on the space in front of the window.

"GET BACK HERE!" some guards said.

Remembering the time Natsu catched me, though I felt angry for remembering him. I don't want anything to do with him anymore, I jumped.

Of course, to my luck, I was stopped again. I did fall down, but I didn't fall on water like I expected. I fell on top of a barrier a few feet from whatever I was just in a few seconds ago.

No. No!

I began banging on the barrier. But then noticed the island up ahead. It was where my job request was from. I also noticed blasts here and there and smoke coming out of some areas.

Probably Exendo having his fun.

I tried using one of my keys to poke a hole on the barrier. I laughed.

Really? Poking a hole? HAHA!

I'm glad I have some humor left in me.

Some guards came down and took me back up where London was.

"Lets teach you a lesson shall we? Let see..." he said.

He grabbed my wrist and pulled me towards a chair, he tied up on arm behind my back and the other was tied up to a table while my legs were tied up to the chair as well. He took my keys away though I managed to keep one. I traced my fingers around the key and came to conclusion that it belonged to Gemini's.

Okay, that means that if I have to, I can do urano metria once.

I held on the key and did my best to hide it.

London came back with a knife. Again? Seriously...if you're trying to scare me at least do something new...

"Thats a nice guild mark you have there..." He smirked.

No. Please. Not my guild mark. Take my eyes if you want but please!

London began to laugh, his knife now close to my guild mark.

"Judging my that loor om your face...this means a lot you doesn't it? Let's get red of it!"

"Master! Exendo is caught up with some wizards."

London rolled his eyes and went towards the guard.

"Take her to her cell." He said.
