ava's pov:
after dinner we went back to my dorm and we all hung out for a bit. it was getting late and everyone had to leave so we said bye and I walked them out. after everyone left I changed into my pajamas and got into bed because I was really tired and I eventually fell asleep.

-SKIP TO NEXT WEEK-
tonight is my first home game. all week I've been juggling practice and all the work from my classes. not gonna lie I was lowkey stressed but it's okay I guess. I had just finished my last class of today and i was dreading do my homework but I knew if I didn't I would get hella behind. I got back to my dorm and did all my work. I surprisingly finished within an hour and I felt a ton of weight leave my shoulders. it was Friday night so most students were leaving to go partying or somewhere else. thank god I didn't have a second practice today because I woke up at 5 for an early practice which literally sucked. I decided to take a shower to freshen up. after I sat on my bed and decided to do some shopping. I ordered some new clothes and some makeup I was running low on. as I was scrolling through the website I got a FaceTime call from mattia.
mattia:hi baby
ava:heyy
mattia:so you know how I was coming to your game today
ava:yeah
mattia:I got scheduled for a last minute meeting with my soccer team and I won't be able to make it

noooo, I hadn't seen mattia for a bit and we've been busy so we couldn't even FaceTime
ava:awww
mattia:I'm sorry princess
ava:it's okay, I get it don't worry about it
mattia smiled and I returned a small smile
mattia:I have to go but FaceTime me after your game
ava:okay bye bubs I love you
mattia:I love you too
he said before ending the call. I sighed. I literally wanted to cry. distance was hard, I used to be around mattia 24/7 and now I'm not. FaceTime isn't always the same. I brang myself together and tried to get my mind off it. I was on Netflix and lily came into the dorm.
lily:heyy
ava:heyy
I said quietly
lily:what's wrong?
she asked as she sat on the bed next to me.
ava:mattia was supposed to come to my game today but he couldn't
lily: awww I'm sorry that sucks
ava:yeah
lily:I'm sure he wanted to be here, but this happen he'll be there next time
ava:mhm
I nodded and smiled. lily rubbed my back before getting up and going to take a shower.

mattias pov:
little does ava know, I'm actually coming to her game. I would never miss it. I literally hated lying to her and she seemed so upset. but I'm also staying the night with her so I'm happy.

ava'a pov:
a couple hours passed and it was time for me to get ready to leave for the game. I grabbed my bag and phone and headed down to the gym. I walked into the locker room and changed into my volleyball uniform. I put all my stuff I'm my bag and then put my bag in my locker. I grabbed my water bottle and headed out to the court to warm up. I walked out and saw Naomi and assays doing warmups.

as we were warming up we were all talking among us and people were starting to come and sit in the bleachers. I saw kairi and Alejandro and me and the girls waved at them. they smiled and waved back. after about 15 minutes the game was starting.

a/n:again I don't know anything about volleyball don't come at me 😌🤚🏽

we all got into our positions. our team started first so I threw the ball into the air and hit it, and it made it over the net. as we were playing I looked at the bleachers and saw mattia. I smiled and quickly blew a kiss at him. He smiled and blew a kiss back. this bitch- almost made me cry.....
