To start over.
That's what Alex Rose needed, after that night.
That's what drove her out of her home in London, to New York, halfway across the world, to start her second year of college in North Regal University.
A whole new world greets her, ne...

I don't bother hiding my disappointment as I watch Hunter walk off. Confusion washes over me, my eyes fixed his retreating figure that soon disappears into the kitchen. He was actually being playful with me.
This was a new side to him that I'd never seen or encountered before, and I was pleasantly surprised, and ecstatic that he's finally beginning to be more comfortable around me.
I love this side of him, carefree and happy.
But my happiness was obviously short-lived, because after I laughed at his expression, his mood did a complete 180, and his cold, standoffish demeanour was back again.
I turn away from the house, sighing, to see Nessa right behind me. She probably witnessed everything that just went down.
"Don't worry. He gets into a sudden mood sometimes, it's nothing personal." She smiles softly, rubbing my arm.
I give her a weak smile back, not really understanding why I'm so affected by Hunter's odd behaviour towards me.

"I'm heading out for a run." I quip to Nessa as I walk into the bathroom, a pair of leggings, a sports bra along with a white baggy cropped t-shirt in my arms. It's nearing 7pm, and I'm done with my classes for the day. The dance studio is booked the whole day today, so I decided to go running to get my fix of physical activity instead.
"I wish I could be as active as you are," Nessa groans, falling down onto her bed face-first dramatically, and I chuckle at her as I close the door behind me. After changing, I grab my AirPods, phone, and some emergency cash, stuffing everything into my little fanny pack before fastening it around my waist.
Waving goodbye to Nessa, I head out of the dorm. I decide to jog in the neighbourhood behind the school where the soccer house is, since it's pretty quiet and nice there.
I run all the way up to the back gate from my dorm, and instead of taking a left in the direction of the soccer house, I run to the right side. I pass a few more houses as I jogged by, taking in my surroundings.
The entire lane consists of modest houses and lawns, some houses big, some small. The rows and rows of trees planted on either side of the street gives the neighbourhood a nice shady atmosphere. It's the kind of street you see in the American movies, where the main character lives in a suburban area with houses that look similar to each other.
After ten minutes, I turn around and run back. My body is slick with sweat when I finally pass by the university back gate and towards the boys' house. I don't plan on going in, only to jog a little farther in that direction and circle back.
