Chapter 4-

“What do you mean I’m not anything?!” I yell, “I have to be something for Christ sakes!”

“Evan, your eyes were white, there’s nothing in here about a wolf with white irises. There’s the Alpha with red eyes, beta with yellow, Sigma and Selsa blue, Delta, Gammas, Epsilons, Zetas and Iota are violet and the Omega is green. ” He says, “It also says that they all have a distinct smell that will tell you their position.”

“Okay look it up, there might be another website about it.” I say, bringing a large plate of sandwiches into the room.

He picks one off the plate and eats it. My stomach growls and he looks at me with a raised eyebrow. “Aren’t you going to eat?”

Wordlessly I shake my head. He looks at me like I’ve grown another head before shaking his and going back to the computer. “Something’s wrong with you.” He mumbles but I hear it and wack him upside the head.

“Ouch.” He growls.

I gingerly smile. “Sorry, forgot about the extra power thing.” I say.

He ignores me and continues to search page after page.

Hours pass and still nothing comes up. He groans and leans right back in the chair with his hands behind his head. “This is pointless!” He says. “We’re never going to find anything.”

I shrug. “We’ll have to wait and see what happens then.”

“I did find something about how to create a pack though.” He says, flicking through a page.

“Who said we wanted to be a pack?” I say more as a joke than anything. I’d hate to admit it to Joey’s ego but the more that I think about it the more it’s grown on me. I would like to be in a pack.

“Too bad, you have no choice.” He says and I growl under my breath. The sound is animalistic and Joey’s head snaps towards me.

“What?” I ask.

He shakes off whatever it was and turns back to the screen. “Nothing… Okay, it says here that we have to…”

“What, what does it say.” I hate how he leaves me in suspense like this.

He shrugs. “All it says is that we have to come up with a name and say that we accept each other into the pack and have at least one Alpha.”

I raise my eyebrow. “Is that it? That seems a little…”

“Non magical?” He suggests. “Yeah, I know but that’s all it says here so we may as well give it a try.”

“The only problem is that we don’t have an Alpha in our pack.” I explain to him.

“Yeah and from reading the pages they also said that only an Alpha can change humans into a werewolf so I was thinking that maybe you’re somehow a little bit of everything.”

He looks back at the computer and swears under his breath. “I have to go, we’ll do it another time. Mum will be wondering where I am and what I’ve been up to, no doubt I’ll be grounded for life.” He says before he’s running out the front door.

I lie back on the ground, wondering how I could be nothing. Maybe it was just a trick of the light? It could have been that he saw wrong and my eyes are actually a yellow like his.

The thought makes me feel better and I run into my bathroom to test my theory. I strip down to nothing and once again I picture Brandon, this time how I found him, in bed with another. Seconds later I’m no longer on two legs and no longer human.
