"Muhabbat Farz Hai Farzi Nahi...Sarasar Marz Hai Marzi Nahi"

"Tuje sahi m lgta hai ye sahi rahega?" Shehnaaz asked as they dropped Samar off to school and were now driving off..

"Haan baby, she is the perfect person"

"Hmm..'Dayre' .." she picked up the book they both had been reading from past 3 days, there were moments in the book when they both actually kept it down and cried their hearts out ..the more they read about Ruhaan and Romi, who loved each other until they both committed sucide due to lack of societal acceptance for their sexuality..She picked up the tablet as she played out the inteview of the writer who wrote this beautiful masterpiece, and the one their hearts knew could pen down their tribute to their Sammy..

You don't need to have different sexual preferences to understand sexuality. How difficult is it for people to understand that people can have different choices. Why is it that, as a culture, we are more comfortable seeing two men holding guns than holding hands? The only way to normalize non-heterosexual orientations is for the queer community to act like they are normal, because they are.

So what do you suggest for all those under hiding due to societal fear and unacceptance?

There will not be a magic day when we wake up and it's okay to express ourselves publicly. We make that day by doing things publicly until it's simply the way things are...

They both looked at each other as she shut the tab while he squeezed her hand, they knew they are going to be strength of each other in this journey, there can be backlash, there can be fall, there can be a lot of downsides of their decision but this moment they knew they are in it together, and it is relaxing even in chaos to have someone who you know shall stand by you to fight it if things go wrong, because it's life and things are bound to go wrong, but misery does love company to help you stand up and get out of that misery with flying colors..

"Samra Ehsaan" the name read as they knocked on it to be greeted by a smiling woman, dressed in a saree, there was a charm, a persona that radiated positivity around her as soon as they entered. It was not some huge extravagant office they expected for her books being biggest hits year after year and the fact that she had been bestowed with Jnipath Award, the biggest literary honor for any Indian writer..

She humbly greeted them and after exchanging a few pleasantries they discussed the purpose for which the meeting was fixed..

"So you guys want me to write your brother's story?" she asked looking at both of them..

"Yes..we want to tell his story to the world so that there are no more of Sammy who have to jump off to get accepted" Sidharth stated , his voice choked as Shehnaaz rubbed his arm while her own eyes glistened in painful memory of that incident..Samra passed them water..as she continued.

"But I don't write scripts for movies" she stated simply..

"We want to introduce something new to Indian cinema..and we want this idea to reach masses for it to become normal and films are best way to do that" Sidharth explained as she nodded intently

"Okay..Can I hear the story?" she asked leaning back on the chair..they both looked at each other they knew this shall come but it felt harder to live him again knowing he is just a story now..they knew they had to do it as Shehnaaz held his hand under the table while she cleared her throat to gather courage to unravel the most painful yet beautiful chapter of her life..

"Sammy.."she started smiling at his name only, walking back the memory lane as she narrated the story of that lively person who they wanted to immortalize..
