"Waqt guzarta raha par sansein thami si thi...muskura rahe the hum par akhon m nami si thi..sath humare ye jahaan tha sara..par na jaane kyu tumhari kami si thi..."
"Jaan" his phone flashed as he sat on the dead silent dining table with his mother and Trisha sitting across, while they ate silently, it was so stifling that the cutlery striking together was noisy..he could not wait to finish this courtesy dinner and go back to his happy place, the place where he felt alive, the place where love bowed him instead of just the weight of responsibilities..he was about to get up, indicating he was done ...when his mother called out..
"Sidharth.." she said in a slow voice
"haan maa.." he said in an attentive yet rushed tone..
"Or kab tak h ye night shoots movie ke..." she asked looking at him..."I mean subah bhi tu kam m busy rehta h..night bhi shoots..bche bimaar mat ho jaio bas.." his mother said looking at him worriedly, he could feel Trisha's pair of eyes dug onto his as well while she stopped eating..
"Haan maa..dhyan rkhta hu m...ap apna dhyan rkho sab jaldi thik ho jayega.." he responded politely moving forward and hugging her, there was a strange happiness and normalcy in his mood these days and his mother noticed it she was utmost relived at that while she just hugged him back...
"Trisha..jaa iske liye kuch snacks bhi pack kar dio dinner ke bad...Sidharth lekr jana hai bahar ka khana acha nahi hota" she said softly as he just nodded going upstairs to pick his bag for pretence before he left..his mother looked at Trisha keeping a hand on hers as she smiled in thankfulness to her while Trisha just looked confused..
He was going to seat himself in the car when he felt his phone vibrating in his pocket, he smiled at the name as he picked it up..."Haan meri jaan.." he said all smiled as he picked up the phone leaning on the car..
"Main Samar bol raha hu.." came a childlike voice from other end..making Sidharth chortle..
"Han to Samar bhi papa ki jaan hai..bolo Champ.." he said while he could hear ushered voices of Shehnaaz scolding him for calling from behind..
"Kya hua beta" he said again as he heard mixed voices
"Papa...this is not fair..I don't have any friends here..I want to go back..I am bored.."
"Ohh thats a big problem.." Sidharth said back in a childish tone.."Maiya kaha hai..vo bhi to hai na bache.." he asked him further..
"But she can't play football na..And aj to vo bhi nahi thi..I got bored after school" he complained further..
"Kyu..vo kaha thi.." Sidharth asked in a worried tone and adjusted his airpod as he drove..
"Vo joo" before he could complete Shehnaaz took the phone from him, glaring at him while he just pouted crossing his hands..
"Kuch nahi hai Sidharth..pkhand hai iske, teri trah...tu dhyan mat de..tu bata isne phone kar lia, maa ne to nahi dekha..ghar m to kuch" she asked in a careful tone..
"Kuch nahi hua..shant ho jaa..or gate khol."
"Hn" she asked in a confused tone..
"Arre gate khol baby..m standing outside my hands are full.."he said chuckling
"Hn..Haan..ek minute.." she says keeping down the phone rushing towards the door tidying up a little glancing at mirror on the way as she adjusted her bindi picking up her jhumkas wearing them on the way while she opened the gate..
"Hii.."he said grinning moving forward kissing her forehead as he walked in.."Perfect" he said running a finger on her face handing over one bag to her and then walking in..she smiled as she followed in..
