CONTEXT: ↳ You and your boyfriend are from China, met in China, and studied together in China. You've both never left the country until you got a scholarship to study in America. Since then, you've been doing long distance with your boyfriend. You're always thinking about him and how you miss him and he feels the same way. Every Friday, you do this thing with him where you send selfies or photos describing what you did this week or about how you've been feeling. After sending the selfies, you two FaceTime and talk together. It's been a pretty good strategy so far that has helped you keep up with each other's lives. Today is a Friday and it's time to send some selfies!
STORY: My fingers grasped the phone as I unlocked it. I tapped "messages" out of instinct. We came up with the idea of switching the order of who goes first every week and this week is my turn. I took at least one selfie everyday this week so far. I selected the photos after scrolling for a few seconds. I clicked "send."
