"Okay, so you have a lot of explaining to do," I said as I yanked her into my room and crossed my arms. She looked at me, very amused. Then, she sauntered over to me as her eyes grew dark till they were black and the red specks in here were glowing. I was trying not to squirm under her gaze.

"Stop that," I said in a shaky voice. She smirked at this.

"What is it that I'm doing that you want me to stop?" She asked with faux innocence. She continued until she was right in front of me. I could feel my composure breaking.

"Umm. Stop... Stop looking at me like that." I said softly, caught in her gaze. She slowly leaned in as my eyes fluttered closed, awaiting a kiss that never came. Instead, I opened my eyes to find hers back to normal and a smirk on her face.

"Why'd you do that?" I said, pouting.

"You told me to stop." She said mischievously. I rolled my eyes at this; she knows that's not what I meant. At that moment, she walked over to me and gave me a sweet, chaste kiss.

"Alright, so what all do you want to know?" She asked, plopping herself down on my bed.

"I guess everything about you and the supernatural world," I said, sitting in front of her, excited to learn about her. I wonder if mermaids exist.

"Yes, they exist. Every creature you can think of from legends and folklore exist. I was turned into a vampire in the early 1700s along with my "brother" Lance. We lived in the same village in what became known as Italy. There was a crusade of many villages all over Europe by vampires. Our people constantly killed them and their families, and they decided to become the monster we sought them out to be.

We came to the united states in the 1800s. We fought for the North and even helped with the Underground Railroad, bringing enslaved people to the North to be liberated. That's actually how Lance met his soulmate, Elisia." I cut her off at that point. I was intrigued by soulmates.

"Wait, so you said soulmates? Like fanfiction shit?" She chuckled and nodded her head.

"Yeah, like fanfiction shit. Anyways," I cut her off again.

"Am I your soulmate?" She smiled at this.

"Yes, you are. Surprisingly." She said in a happy, disbelief state.

"Why do you say that?" She looked away from me for a second and took a deep breath before she faced me again.

"I consider myself very lucky to have met you. I say this because as supernaturals, we get one and only one soulmate; at least, I thought this was true. I had a mate before." She paused and looked at me, and I nodded, reassuring her to go on. You could see the pain in her eyes.

"In late 1896 is when I met her. Adeline. She was beautiful. She had Gorgeous curly dark hair with sea-green eyes that made my dead heart start beating again. Unfortunately, not everyone survives the transformation, and she was one of the unlucky ones who didn't. I still haven't forgiven myself. I promised her on her 23rd birthday that I would turn her if she that's what she wanted to do. Burying her was honestly the worst day of my life, and the day my heart stopped beating again, and I went back to being cold to the touch. See, finding our soulmates and them loving us back makes our hearts beat again. With that, we have more blood pumping through us, and we become warmer to the touch. After you and your soulmate finally mate, your heart will beat completely." Her gaze was drifting off as if she was remembering. She gave a heavy sigh, then turned to me.

"Huh, I wonder why you got two? Whatever is different, I'm glad it is. I'm glad you're my soulmate. You're not the only one who is lucky." I say, meaning every word. She smiled back at me.
