"Hector?" I question softly.
"What are you doing here? I thought you were dead!" I got up and went to the front of the cell, feeling a little relieved that he was alive. Wait, when did he get his arm back?
"Hector, your arm, it's back how? How did you get away from them?" He just scoffed and rolled his eyes.
"Are you that naive? I'm with them. Everything has been staged from the beginning; it was just magic hiding my arm." I gasped at this and backed away from the front of the cell.
"How could you?" He smiled at this.
"I want more. More power, more recognition, immortality." I'm disgusted. He betrayed his family, all of us.
"You're a horrible pathetic person." He opened up the door and stalked towards me. I really need to keep my mouth shut. It wasn't long before he closed the distance between completely, and not long after, I felt a hard impact to the side of my face. I looked back at him, and for some reason, I wasn't scared. Not anymore, at least. If I were going to die, I wouldn't be giving them the satisfaction of my fear.
"You better learn to shut your mouth. Remember your place, human." He spat. When he went to turn around, I stopped him.
"Hey, Hector." He turned around at that moment with an annoyed expression.
"What?" Right then, I did the only thing I could think of doing. I kicked him right where it hurts the most. He doubled over in pain, and I took that opportunity to knee him in the face. He flew back with a pained grunt. Not wasting any time, I ran over and kicked him as hard as I could in the side of his face. He seemed to be out cold. I hurriedly grabbed the keys and ran over to let Julian out.
"Mila, that was so badass!" I just shyly smiled.
"Okay, let's get out of her. Mila, stay close to me." I just nodded my head. Shit, you don't have to ask me twice.
He led the way to the door to get out. He froze all of a sudden.
"Someones coming." He grabbed my wrist, and we posted up against the wall by the door. Soon two guys came in, and right as soon as they did, Julian punched the first guy in the face, then took the second guy's head in his hand, twisting till you hear a sickening snap. He then went towards the other guy who was still recovering and snapped his neck as well. He turns back to me, his eyes glowing.
"I'm sorry you had to see that." I just shook my head.
"No need to apologize. We have to do what we have to do. It's them or us." He nodded his head in agreement. He softly grabbed my wrist again and brought me up the stairs. He looked in each direction, and you could see him using his senses to see if anyone was close.
"It's clear for now. I smell woods this way; we'll head to them, then I'll shift. You'll ride on my back." He whispered out.
"Okay," I whispered back to him. We stealthy made it to the backyard, but we were met with horrible luck. At least seven wolves were surrounding us. Two of them shifted, and I became extremely uncomfortable since they were completely naked.
"Josh? Xavier?" Julian questioned in surprise.
"Don't look so surprised, Julian. You know we've always had a distaste for humans. We want them to be our slaves." The guy I believe to be Josh said. The two guys then looked at me.
"Yes, I agree with Josh. The power would be unimaginable. Making the inferior species do whatever we want them to." The guy looked me straight in the eyes while licking his lips. That is absolutely disgusting. I know my face was scrunched in a repulsed expression.
