chapter 22 : confession time for kartik

When naira woke up she turned to her side to see kartik standing besides her.She gave him a smile and then looked at her family members.

"Naira how are you feeling now?Does the leg hurt?"Naitik asked

"It hurts a little papa but i am fine now.Infact this pain is nothing compared to what i have been feeling in the last two years since i fell"naira asked

Naitik felt that maybe they should leave kartik and naira alone for sometime as her family members were talking to her regarding her leg

"Princess you should get some rest.We will wait outside..."Naitik said and everyone agreed

Kartik thought that naitik asked him to leave as well and when he was about to leave naitik stopped him

"kartik you can stay if you want..the rest of us will wait outside for sometime.."naitik said

"okay papa then..thank you"kartik said with a small smile and naitik smiled too.Then everyone else left leaving naira and kartik alone.

naira tried to sit straight on the bed.kartik who saw it went towards her side and helped her sit straight.

One naira sat kartik sat on the stool next to naira.Both of them remained silent as they did not have the courage to speak first.Finally gathering the courage kartik spoke first.

"Naira i really want to say sorry for everything that happened.If i came on time that day none of this would have happened.Because of me you were suffering the whole time...i gave you so much pain.."kartik said but naira stopped him as she spoke

"Not only me kartik even you suffered.First Shubham died and then i left you when you needed me the most..."naira started but was interrupted when kartik's phone rang

kartik took his phone out and suvarna's name flashing on the screen.

"Naira i will be right back..i have to take this call.."kartik said and naira nodded

kartik then went out sending kirti in the mean time

"Haa maa?"kartik said answering the phone

"kartik!How is naira now?How did the surgery go?All of us were waiting for you call!"suvarna told him

kartik last night informed his family members about naira's surgery and he told them about how naira fell from the terrace after shubham's death.

Suvarna so badly wanted to see naira and apologize for everything happened because of her.

"Maa the surgery was done just a while back.The doctor's shifted her to the normal room and she just woke up.Naira is feeling a lot better now!"kartik said

"hey bhagvan..that is an amazing news..kartik that is an amazing news for all of us..!"she said in happiness

"Maa i will call you back in sometime..i have to go now bye"Kartik said and ended the call

Next day the doctor told them they could take naira home.After taking naira home kartik was not sure about visiting her because of his feelings.It has been two weeks kartik did not visit her but he called kirti the whole time regarding her health and kirti gave him the updates

In the last few days kartik changed and he was not the same kartik who he was in the last two years.The guy who he never imagined to be.That was what he changed into.

When naira left him two years after he asked her to he completely changed.He started to drink to get rid of her and her memories and his pain

He thought he was successful in that but that was not true.When he came to mumbai and he saw her again everything changed.

He held her responsible for what happened to shubham along with suvarna but suvarna realized her mistake but kartik's ego blinded everything

"I cannot even bear to see you in pain for a second naira..only gods know how much responsible i was for causing you so much pain in the last two years.."kartik said to himself

After naira got better the goenka's invited the singhania's for dinner.Naira did not know whether it was a good idea or not to go but kirti convinced her and naira agreed

Manish and Suhasini greeted them as they came and they felt very extremely happy to see naira

"How are you naira?"Suhasini asked

"Haa dadi i am good...how are you?"naira asked

"even we are good...it is so good to see you after so long..!"manish said

"same here...!"naira said with a small smile

Everyone sat in the living room chatting.Naira excused herself and went to the kitchen to drink some water

As she drank the water she felt someone's present behind her.She turned around to see suvarna

"Maa...!"Naira said slowly

"Naira..!"suvarna said and hugged naira shocking naira as she did not expect this

"Naira i don't even know how to say sorry for everything...everything happened because of me only.You and kartik got separated because of me...i am sorry naira..please forgive me..!"suvarna confessed

"Maa what are you saying?It is not your fault.Please don't say sorry.."naira said

"I know you will say this naira but i am the reason for your's kartik's separation...i promised akshara ji i will always take care of you like my own daughter but i failed at doing that...i am sorry naira..!"she said

"Maa remember one thing...i never hated anyone..even when i was in  mumbai i thought about all of you every single second and i can never hate you..you guys are my family..."naira said

"I did a mistake by separating you and kartik naira and now i can make things right..."suvarna said which left naira confused

Just then kartik came into the kitchen.

"Maa..What do you mean?"Naira asked in confusion

"Kartik will explain everything to you naira.."she said with a smile and looked at kartik

Kartik held naira's hand and looked at her

"We need to talk..come with me naira..!"kartik said and took her upstairs to his room.Once they came there he closed the door and made naira sit on the bed and he kneeled down infront of her

"Kartik what happened?What is it?"Naira asked

"I have so much to tell you naira and you will listen to me..."kartik said and naira remained silent.He placed his hands on hers and looked at her

"In the last two years i did everything to forget you and move on.I blamed you for my brother's death when you were not the reason to it...you know this was not the first time i blamed you naira..even in the past i blamed you so many times and i even held you responsible when kirti and naksh got married and you hid the truth from me then..."kartik said

"Every single time some misunderstandings come between us and i always blamed you naira..it was always my ego and every single time i kept repeating the same mistake..every single time before i realize what i did was wrong it was always late...it was too late for me to even say sorry"he said

"When we got married i promised you so many things like always being with you and loving you forever and all but i did not keep my word naira..in the last two years i thought i was hating you but i realized that was not true when i saw you again...when i saw you again in mumbai i thought i will always hate you but being with you again it made me understand that in last two years i was still in love with you.."kartik confessed which shocked naira by his sudden confession and she did not have any idea how to react for it

"Haa naira..i love you!I always have and i always will"Kartik confessed sincerely
