chapter 13 : the fresher's party

Kartik so badly wanted to hug Naira but he knew he couldn't just go and do that.

"Naira Tum yaha kya kar rahe ho? Let's go inside!"Tanvi said coming.

"Tum jao Tanvi..I will come in 2 minutes!"Naira said

"No no I won't go anywhere without you. Today completely you will stay with me only. Now let's go inside. Don't say no Naira!"Tanvi said

"But Tanvi...!"Naira started but was stopped when Tanvi spoke

"Don't say another word. Now come with me!"Tanvi said grabbing naira's hand and pulling her inside.

"Well at least Naira has some company here..she won't feel left out...!"Kartik said to himself and then went inside.

As Naira and Tanvi stood in the front Kunal went towards them.

"Hey guys!"he said

"Wow sir came so early?"Tanvi shot

"Traffic was too much. I came as fast as I could!"he replied and then looked at Naira.

As Kunal and Tanvi spoke Naira could feel his gaze on her. Naira tried to avoid it but failed miserably. Naira then looked at Kartik who immediately turned away and looked at the opposite direction. Now he could feel her gaze on him. When Kartik looked at her he thought she might look away but she didn't.

The next four hours went with dance performances and it was time for the last part of the day. It was to announce the miss freshers. The winner was choose by the students and their votes itself.

"So students we hope you had a wonderful time at the party today. So as we all know we have one last part which is announcing the miss fresher from the juniors. The winner was selected by your votes itself. And at the last the winner is....!"Mr.Pinto spoke

"Naira Singhania!"He said shocking both Naira and Kartik.

Naira's eyes widened in shock when she heard her name. She wasn't even sure if she heard that right till Tanvi confirmed it for her.

"Wow congrats Naira!!"she exclaimed happily hugging her

"But Tanvi..I didn't even give my name for this...!"Naira said

"I did. I know you won't give it so I gave your name!you totally deserve this!"Tanvi said with a smile

"But Tanvi..I don't...!"Naira started but was stopped when mr.pinto spoke

"Miss Naira,please come onto the stage..and to give her the gifts we would like to invite Mr.Goenka to come up here as well!"he said shocking Kartik and Naira again

"Me..but um..!"Kartik stuttered trying to find an excuse but failed.

"Mr.Goenka and Miss Singhaina,please come...!"Mr.Pinto said.
