chapter 12 : feelings

"Naira please don't do this. Don't be so stubborn!"he said holding her hand.

"Kartik I am not a kid. I can totally take care of myself! If anyone sees us out here it will be bad.I will go now!"Naira said and before Kartik can even say any word Naira left. She got in a cab and left. She wiped her tears which she was holding for so long while Kartik stood there even after she left.

He sighed in frustration and banged his fists to the wall next to him. It pained him but he didn't really care. Then he left and went home.

In the evening around 6pm Naira got a call. She looked at the caller ID and saw Tanvi calling.

"Haa Tanvi?"Naira said.

"Naira,actually the deadline to our project has been changed. It is tomorrow only. Is it okay if me and Kunal come over to your house?so we can finish it together as we are one team. What do you say?"Tanvi asked

"Haa sure..come on!"Naira said.

"Okay thanks Naira. We will be there in 20 minutes!"Tanvi said and ended the call.

After sometime both Kunal and Tanvi reached to naira's apartment.

"God this is so annoying yaar. Tomorrow is our freshers day and this project's deadline is also tomorrow. It's so stupid!"Tanvi ranted as she and Kunal walked inside the apartment.

Just then kunal's phone rang.

"Tanvi you go in. My Dad is calling. I will talk to him and come up. You go!"he said.

"Acha fine. Come soon!"she said and went in.

As Kunal spoke with his dad outside just then Kartik came out and stood in the balcony. His eyes widened in shock when he saw Kunal.

"What is he doing here?did he come here to meet Naira?"Kartik thought.

Tanvi went upstairs and knocked on naira's flat door.

"Hey,come on in!"Naira said with a small smile opening the door.

"Thanks!"Tanvi said and went in.

"You said Kunal was coming too naa?where is he?"Naira asked

"His dad called. So he's talking to him. He will be here soon!"Tanvi said

"Acha okay then,shall we start with the project then?"Naira asked and Tanvi nodded.

Meanwhile Naitik sat outside lost in his thoughts. Naksh and Kirti came and sat next to him.

"Papa?are you okay?what are you thinking about?"Naksh asked

"Nothing beta...!"Naitik lied

"Something is bothering you papa. Please tell us!"Kirti asked

"Naira is alone there...I am just worried on how she is...!"he said

"Kartik is there naa papa...!"Naksh blurted out.

"What?what do you mean?so you know Kartik is working in naira's college?"Naitik asked. Naksk and Kirti looked at each other and then nodded.
