Andy's pov
"Andy wake up," I heard someone whispering in my ear, and shaking me gently. Slowly, I opened my eyes and realised where I was. I was in the captains bunk, laying next to Robert. "Crap we fell asleep," I murmured, "But I haven't slept that well in a long time."
"Me neither," he said. It was true. Although I know I shouldn't of slept there, I couldn't help but be glad that I did. However, now I was gonna have to sneak out without any of the team noticing, if they're already here. And, I was still wearing the clothes I was wearing yesterday. I'd taken my uniform home with me before the wildfire so I could wash it, because we wore different uniform while we were there. So last night I hadn't been wearing uniform, and now I didn't have any to wear today. Ugh what am I going to do??
"I'm gonna have to sneak out and go home to get my uniform," I groaned. The one time I don't have any spare in my locker as well.
"Shifts about to start," Robert said, "I'll have to be fake mad at you." I laughed.
"I'll see if Maya or Vic have any spare uniform, I'll just say I fell asleep in my bunk," I said. Groaning, I continued, "Ughh but what if they don't believe me?"
"Don't worry they'll believe you, you would of been pretty tired after the wildfire," he laughed. After kissing Robert goodbye, I walked out of his office, and thankfully, I couldn't see any of A-shift. If anyone else saw me, they would just assume I was getting shouted at or something. However, I didn't have as much luck when I went into the beanery to get coffee. I got out a mug, and then the rest of the team walked in, followed by Robert.
"Hey Maya, Vic, do either of you have any spare uniform, I fell asleep in my bunk last night and all my uniforms at home," I lied. I looked up and saw them glancing at each other and laughing. "What?" I asked defensively.
"We all know that's not true," Maya said. I looked at her, pretending to be confused.
"Who was it?" Vic asked, teasing me.
"What are you talking about? Do any of you have spare uniform or not?" I asked.
Vic then said, "Stop being boring Herrera, and yes I'll get you it after I've eaten, but only if you tell us who it was."
"Fine it was some random guy from the bar," I lied. Vic then cheered and said I could have her spare uniform. I thanked her before turning back to the coffee machine. I felt Robert coming to stand next to me and risked a glance up at him. The rest of the team were having an argument about whether fries dipped in milkshake is gross or nice. I sometimes wonder what on earth goes on in their heads.
"I thought you said they would believe me," I whisper shouted.
"Hey well why would you listen to a random guy from the bar," he joked. I slapped his arm playfully before taking my coffee to the table. A few seconds later I saw him start to walk out.
"You joining us for breakfast captain?" I shouted. He spun on his heel and rolled his eyes jokingly.
"Fine Herrera, I will," he said. Everyone cheered.
"Finally," Travis laughed.
"So Captain what do you think of fries dipped in milkshake then?" Dean asked him.
"And you wonder why I don't eat with you guys," he joked, "And for the record I think they are gross."
