Maya's pov
I didn't believe Andy's story about the guy from the bar at all. For starters, she's not usually the sort of person to hook up with random guys in bars. Then there's also what I saw after the wildfire. It was Sullivan. It had to be. She was moving in with our captain. So they really are serious then. I couldn't believe it. And she's not mentioned it once to me. I get that it's against the rules and they don't want anyone finding out, but Andy and I are best friends.
As I left the house, I thought about telling Andy what I saw. She would probably be mad at me for not saying anything sooner, but it's not like she's telling me anything at the minute. I couldn't even talk to Vic about it, because then Andy would never forgive me. I didn't know what to do.
At the station, Vic bought up the subject of Andy's bar guy, even though Andy wasn't there. "So Maya is Andy still hooking up with that guy from the bar?" She asked me.
"Oh yeah, she came over this morning and told me she's moving out because he asked her to move in with him," I laughed, knowing perfectly well that it wasn't the guy from the bar.
"Ooo I hope we get to meet him soon," she said. I nodded in agreement, but I knew that wouldn't be happening. A few minutes later, I got up and was about to go and restock the aid car, when I saw the captain stood by the fridge.
"Hi Captain," I said. I just hoped he hadn't been stood there long enough to listen to us talking about who he thought we thought was Andy's boyfriend. He knew the story Andy had told us, he was in the room when she first said it. This was going to be a long day.Vic's pov *After shift*
A/N: In this fanfic Ripley never died, him and Vic are engaged but nobody knows about them yet, not even Sullivan or Travis.
I was going to get a key cut for Luke on my way home from work. I'd asked him to move in with me properly last night, and he'd said yes, which I was really happy about.
As I walked into the shop, I saw the captain there, which surprised me. He didn't notice me at first, and I couldn't help but overhear him talking to the shopkeeper. "Yeah I asked my girlfriend to move in with me this morning, so I need to get a key cut for her," he said, still not seeing me behind him.
"Hey Captain," I said, making him jump.
"Oh, um, hello Hughes," he replied nervously. Then I started to think about the strangest coincidence. Everyone seemed to be moving in with their boyfriend/girlfriend/fiancé. Me and Ripley. Andy and her bar guy. And apparently the Captain and his girlfriend, who none of us knew about.
"Uh I need a key cutting for my fiancé please," I said, painfully aware of the captains presence.
"I didn't know you were engaged Hughes, congratulations," he said. What he also didn't know is that I'm engaged to his best friend.
"Thank you sir," I replied. I hoped he didn't tell anyone at the station, but he didn't really talk to anyone about anything other than work. Except Andy. They were really good friends, and I couldn't help thinking how cute they look together. But sadly, that's not gonna happen, because of their ranks and seeing as they're both seeing someone. Wait... Unless... It would make sense... But I'm not going to say anything to anyone because if I'm wrong that would cause a lot of unnecessary drama. But if I'm right, and Andy and Sullivan are secretly dating...
