After The Wildfire

Chapter two

Maya's pov
We had just got back from LA, where we had been helping with the wildfires, and I was about to head home for the night. Andy was helping Sullivan put some of the equipment away, so she said she would meet me there. I had just got to my car when I realised that I'd left my house keys at home, me and Andy had left at the same time so I didn't need them this morning. I got back out of the car so I could go and ask Andy for her keys. Inside the station, I was about to call out to her when I saw that her and Sullivan were talking. I decided to wait, I didn't want to interrupt them. But then, a few seconds later, something happened that I really didn't expect. Andy leaned in and kissed him. She kissed her captain. I really shouldn't be seeing this. I can not believe what I am seeing. Even though I know that I shouldn't, I watch as they make their way to the captains office. At one point they break apart and start to laugh, before once again closing the space between them.
I knew that Andy and Sullivan had been friends since they were in the aid car crash together. She spent more time with him than she did with me recently. They work out together, they get coffee together, they eat together, he even does hydrant inspections with her, and the captain never does hydrant inspections. But I thought that was all they were. Friends. But it turns out they are more than that. I cant help but feel offended, this was the second time Andy had got with someone in the station and not told me. I don't care who she sleeps with, I just wish she would talk to me. We always used to tell each other everything, and sometimes, we still do.
I decided to ask Vic if I could stay at hers tonight, seeing as I can't get into my house. I walked out of the station and rang her.
M: Hey Vic
V: Hey what's up
M: I was wondering if it was alright for me to stay at yours tonight
V: Sure, anytime, but how come
M: I left my keys at home this morning and Andy is hooking up with some guy soo
V: Haha go Herrera
M: Ha, see you in a bit
V: See ya
I decided not to tell Vic who Andy was with, but I was definitely gonna bring it up tomorrow when I see Andy.
