  Je Suis Jo

Okay so I'm Jo... I dont like being called Joanne because it's too girly and i love french. Maybe because I am eighth french and the remaining part of me, english. I am 15 and maybe from the poem (that i used as the prolouge) you might have a little idea of what my story is about.

This is me, tall, blond, attractive, not-popular, not to mention a total KLUTZ at everthing. I only have few friends and a crush. And this is my family. My dad died in a car crash years ago. He was married before my mum and had Jackie. His wife left him for another man and that was when he met my mum and had me and Joey. Its hard for my mum to take care of three kids on her own but she tries. At least she doesnt drink or smoke or anything. My family is well, apart. No one talks to anyone. My mum leaves early in the morning, comes back late at night, (she's a surgeon), my brother decides that girls are boring. So I only talk with Jackie since sadly, we share a room. But I love my family anyway I mean, who doesn't?

I walk through the halls as I try to avoid the glares that follow me around. I just threw up in biology class, yes, vomited right on the most popular girl in school, Amy. It wasn't my fault that the chemicals made me sick. The only good part of that experience was that I ruined her perfectly braided hair. I open my locker and dump my books inside, what a good way to begin a new year in school. I notice Amy and her friends stare at me with hatred in their eyes as they whispered to eachother. I tried to ignore them and looked away when my best friend, Michael and my two girlfriends, Gwen and Abbie walked up to me... they know. "Really, you actually did that?" Gwen askes in amusement grinning from ear to ear. "Well it wasn't my fault, blame it on the chemicals," I whine. "Well why don't you just go suggest that to Amy?" Michael suggests with a smirk. "Yeah, heard she's really pissed," Abbie whispers but we were all used to it. My two favourite girlfriends are total opposites. Gwen, is crazy, care-free and so pretty. Abbie on the other hand can't even shout. We have been trying to make her shout or get angry since first grade, never worked. She's also pretty but she doesn't believe it. "Well let's all just go for lunch and forget it," I speak amd regret my words immediately. "Forget what?" I immediately recognize the annoying high pitched voice behind me, Amy. "You puked in my hair and you want to forget it?" She exclaimes angrily. "Do you know how much time and money I spent for my hair?" She continues when she sees that I don't talk. "Well you will pay for it!" She storms out angrily to go and talk with grade eleven. Her flock follows her like homeless children. My friends and I don't talk, we just walk quietly into the cafeteria, where I am greeted with more dirty glares.

Gwen, Abbie and I walked sulking to the grass side. Turns out Amy and her 'pack' were cunning enough to make us sit outside. I sat on the grass folding my legs and my bestfriends sat too. "I'm really sorry guys," I smile apologetically. "It's okay Jo, we're just going to have lunch...on the grass." Gwen says sarcastically. "Now I'm going to get termites and bugs in my shoes," Abbie complains as she sits carefully in the grass. "Well it wasn't entirely my fault you know, all I wanted was a sit for us and she just threw us out!" I complain too. They both look at me with raised eyebrows. "What?" I ask. "Okay maybe I should start closing my big mouth," I add trying to look sober. "Yeah you should really consider that," We hear a voice behind us. I already know who it is. "Very helpful Michael," I scoff. "Well you really did make a pretty big scene in there," He points out that shuts me up. This is what happened:
Gwen, Abbie and I walk over casually to our usual table carefully avoiding the glances of people. We get there to see Amy and her wolves sitting while some science amateurs sit on their sit. This never happens, NEVER! I ask them to stand up politely and with my pretty anger issues that only happens once. They refuse and the next time I ask them rudely trying to bounce them. There was another table but i couldn't control my anger so i picked a random tray on the table and pour the contents on Danielle's perfect hair. A teacher just had to be there at that time and Amy started her dramatically convincing face which made the grass our fate.

"Well lets all just forget about it and not blame Jo because she has a right to get angry at that she-wolf," Abbie whispers. "Fine, okay, but you owe me one..." She was interrupted when Abbie squeled. There was a termite on Gwens food! "Oh my God!" She exclaimes as we all laugh and walk away. We all knew that we could all walk over to the pizza place after school. "Well thanks to Jo we all get pizza!" Michael rejoices as he pours all his lunch into the bin. Guess pizzas on me.

I use my key to get into the house and I'm greeted with silence except from the blaring music in the room i had to share with my step sister, Jackie.  I grab a can of fruit juice and barge into my room, "Jackie!!!" I exclaim. She just got back from her field trip and my fomerly neat room was a mess. "Hey little sister," She smiles as she turns down the music. "My room," I simply say. "Oh Jo, I just came and all you say is "your room'?" She fakes a sad face. "Whatever, hi" I greet as a cleared my bed and lay down lazily. I'm tired. I gulp my fruit juice as I allow her to go on and on about her field trip. Finally, I start with my history homework with Jackie at her side of the room. My phone rings and I pick it up and look at the caller ID. Its Gwen. "Hello sugar," I greet with a chuckle. "Hey Jo, listen, are you free on saturday?" She ask. "Hm, yup. Whats going on?" I ask. "A party. A lot of people are going to be there. Even senior boys." She squels. Senior boys? That means Zach. "Of course, pick me up," I smile. "Great," She says as she hangs up. Zach is the most beautiful creature ever. My crush, although I've never talked to him face-to-face. Operation:Talk to Zach will start on saturday! I can't wait!
