Serets
For one of the fewest times ever, I walked into Clifford High smiling. I was even looking pretty, and I felt pretty too.
It was like walking into hell with a big grin on your face.
This morning I saw a message from Zach that said:
Hey beautiful. Can't wait to see you today. Meet me at the parking lot during cafeteria. - Z
It's going to be a good day.
I see my friends in our usual 'greeting spot.' Picking the needed books, I walked over to them.
"Hmm, someone's looking extra pretty today." Trevor commented as I hugged my friends. "I know right. I even feel pretty." I blushed. "Well whats up?" Abbie asked. "Oh did David ask you out, 'cause I need to be introduced to his friends." Paige added hopefully. "No you guys. Nothing serious. I just woke up this morning feeling good about myself." I smiled. "Seriously. And one will think she just won money." Mallorie who had just joined us said. She was in love with money.
"No big deal about that doll. I wake up every morning feeling good about myself." Gwen scoffed. "You didnt seem to be feeling so good about yourself when you had that huge zit on your nose." Beth teased walking away. "That was one time." Gwen complained following her. I guessed they have the same class together. Mallorie, Paige and Kyle walked away for a class.
"Nice bracelet." Paige commented as she walked away.
"Thanks." I smiled. The love of my life gave me.
"Wait for me please." Cole said and went to get his notes. We were having art together.
"So does your looking quite feminine today have to do with the text I got yesterday?" Michael asked. "Well maybe." I shrugged. "Don't let anyone bring you down. We'll talk better later. " He said and gave me a hug as Cole came back. He went for his class.
When I got to the door, I checked the time, five minutes late. "Joanne and Cole. So nice of you to finally join us." Miss. Smith said sarcastically as we took our seats.

Art class was good until I got framed. Everyone kept on making paper airplanes and throwing them at Miss. Smith but each time she looked back everyone stopped laughing and hid the airplane. Amy was right behind me talking to her followers about Zach.
My Zach.
I had totally ignored the fact that two other girls had the same bracelet with the one that Zach gave me. I couldn't jump into conclusions and I was really sure that there wasn't only one of the bracelet. Their boyfriends or someone else probably gave it to them.
Zach can't cheat, he's perfect.
I was getting tired of listening to Amy talking about how gentlemanly Zach was and how he had a nice body and a sexy face. She was also the ringleader of the paper airplanes throwers. I was already devising a plan in my head to get her in big trouble.
Cole had stopped talking to me about his crush on Mallorie which was not surprising at all. There was noticeable chemistry between them. I made a mental note to talk to her during our sleep over on saturday.
Before I could speak up, I saw a paper airplane land on my donkey and at the same time it hit Miss. Smith, who was already engrossed with her painting. She stood up and saw one on my table.
"Jo stay back after class. And keep it in mind that you're in trouble." She said and continued with her painting. I looked back to see Amy and her friends snickering and trying to hold their laughter.
I sighed. How many times have I gotten detention in the last two weeks?

After I survived a twenty-five minutes talk with Mrs. Smith, I decided to skip the next class. What was the point if I'll be 15 minutes late and probably get another detention. That's right, I couldn't escape the detention, and she didn't even believe me when I said it was Amy.
"Amy is a model student." She had said.
Model student my ass.
I had cafeteria, and I decided to wait in the parking lot for Zach, maybe he'll come early, or he was probably already there.
Getting to the parking lot, I saw two people already making out in the only enclosed area. The girl was wearing the type of bracelet that Zach gave me. I wasn't wrong afterall, the girl was making out with her boyfriend and his thumb was on the bracelet so it was probably him that gave it to her.
Although it was an invasion of privacy, I stood there watching them make out and when the guy finally looked up.
I saw Zach.
My heart dropped to the ground and shattered into a million unfixable pieces.
My Zach, my perfectly nice, sexy, good-looking and gentlemanly Zach. The one that made me feel good about myself.
I sighed, that wasn't my Zach, he never was.
My feet were stuck to the floor and I couldn't move. All I did was stand there and watch him kiss her the same way he kissed me. And hold her the same way he held me. He stroked her hair gently like he did to mine and he held her hands instead of her waist. He had done that to me before.
That made me feel special.
But not anymore. As I stood there watching them I felt like crap. Maybe I am crap.
He looked up again and our eyes met. His mouth hung open and I shook my head. The poor, unsuspecting brunette asked him what was wrong and I saw him fake a smile saying nothing.
I didn't cry. I didnt scream. I didnt shout. I didn't break down. I didnt attack him or swear and make myself known. I didnt do anything.
I just walked away.
