Ignored

"Mallorie! What exactly did you do?!" I whisper-screamed. "Im confused." She said smiling innocently.

Immediately I got to school I saw Mal, which was perfect because I was boiling with anger. We were in the hallway with the other girls. They all turned to look at us. They looked like they were fighting smiles.

"You know what you did. Whos David?" I asked calmly. "Oh. Him." She said and all of them burst into laughter. "He's that guy at the mall." Gwen said trying to stop laughing. "You refused to give him your number so we did that for you." Beth added. "And even your Twitter handle." Abbie added again and they continued laughing.

"Seriously, I don't need your match-making guys." I said with a straight face. "That's a lie, you don't have anybody." Mallorie said.

I have Zach, I wanted to say.

"That's simply 'cause I don't need anybody." I replied. "C'mon give him a chance, we talked to him, he seems really nice." Abbie said. "And hot." Paige added with a wink. "Plus he was totally checking you out." Gwen smiled mischievously. "Well it's kinda too late 'cause I told him i don't do strangers. Or stalkers." It was my turn to smile.

"WHAT?" They all shouted which earned us stares from people passing by.  "Listen, we'll talk about this during cafeteria." I said when the bell rang.

       Phone call with David

The phone rang like five times before I finally got to the phone. The caller ID said David. "Who the hell is David?" I muttered. "And how did his number get to my phone?" Reluctantly I picked the call. "This is Jo speaking." I said. "Oh, hey Jo, it's David." A low but sexy voice said. "I don't know you." I said straightforward. "From the mall on Sunday." He tried again. "I didnt talk to any guy at the mall on Sunday." I said then I remembered the guys we were checking out at the mall.

"You're the guy that was supposedly checking me out? I blurted out. "Well you could say that." He chuckled. "Well why are you calling me, and how did you get my number?" I asked. "Your friend Melanie gave it to me." He said. "Melanie?" I was confused. "I don't remember her name, something like that." He said uncertain. "Mallorie?" I corrected. "Yes that's the one." He confirmed.

"Well?" I urged him to continue. "Right. At McDonald's, she came over and gave me your number and Twitter handle plus she collected my number. She also said that you were too shy to give it to me yourself and that I should give you a call." He explained. "I never said anything like that." I said confused. "That's what I heard." He said.

"Well that's too bad 'cause I don't talk to strangers or stalkers. And Mallorie didn't do all of that. Go find someone else to stalk. Bye." I said and didn't bother to wait for a response.

            '♡'

"And that's it." I said taking the last bit of my apple. "Wow." Michael said. "If that was me I would've hunted you down." Cole said. "Totally." Kyle agreed.

We told the boys the whole story  during cafeteria and they were laughing at poor David.

"Okay but seriously, who agrees with me that Jo needs somebody to love?" Mallorie asked. A series of 'yup' and 'tots' came out immediately. "Ugh, can I be listened to? I don't need anybody to love. Im fine on my own and I haven't found that special someone yet." I lied. Everyone kept quiet for like ten seconds then they turned back to Mal to tell her how much they agreed with her.

"Oh come on. This is my life, can you guys stop ignoring me?" I pleaded. "Nah, we don't talk to lonely people.' Gwen stuck her tongue at me and everyone laughed. "If you want us to talk to you, reply David on Twitter." Mallorie said. "He hasn't even sent me a direct message before." I argued. "He is going to, today. And you have to reply and have a conversation with him." Paige said. "Plus no funny business. Gwen and I have your account." Abbie said. "Who knows you might end liking him." Michael added too. "You're with them?" I asked with unbelief. "Well yes. Its fun torturing you." He shrugged.
