Zach

It takes me more than an hour before I'm finally ready for the party. Zach is the type of guy, that is able to make a girl blush with one look. Hes my friend, but the kind of friend that you hardly talk to. Gwen finally picks me up and my mums working the night shift so I am permitted. I'm wearing a really nice crop top with shorts and cool shoes. Gwen whistles as i open the door of the car. "Wow, you look like spice," She compliments. I only smile and sit down. "Wait, is this for Zach? Cuz he can never miss this one," She teases. "I hope so," I mumble. The party was well, Gwens type of party- loud. She leads me in and immediately starts flirting and socializing.

Sometimes I wish Im like that. I find my way to the bar and get myself a drink. Trevor, a guy from my biology class comes to seat with me and we started talking, he even paid for my drink. I notice Zach at the other end of the table with his friends and they looked like they were having fun. I notice he's looking at me but the voice in my head tells me that Im seeing things. Until he walks towards me! "Hey," He smiles. "Hi," I say trying to keep my cool. "Hey," Trevor says too. They did one ot their guy complicated handshakes. "You look hot," He points out. "Thanks," I say blushing. If there was one thing boys noticed about me, its my boobs. "Well i want to talk with Jo." He says. "But as you can see Im talking with her." Trevor replies. "Hm, Jo, choose one, Trevor, or moi?" He smirks. "I think I'll go with Zach." I say without thought, does that make me look desperate?

Zach laughs as Trevor walks away looking dejected. "So, whats up, how are the boys?" He asks with a chuckle obviously trying to lighten up the mood and fill the silence. I loosen up and laugh. "Boys? Don't have any," I sip my drink trying to act normal. "Okay, crush." He tries again. "Can't tell you," I say playing around with him even if i want to scream out his name. "Or u don't trust me?" He askes. "Don't know you enough to," This is going well, at least I haven't stammered. "You remember when I used to call you fat?" He says killing the silence. Yes, i remembered that day. Because of that i worked out a lot only to find out he was just joking. "Yup, why?" I ask my stomach doing somersaults. "I liked you but I didnt think you'll like me back," He blurts out. Fireworks started in my head but I still tried to keep my cool. "Oh, I liked you too but I didn't think that you'll like me back," I confess. "Why?" He asked. "Hard to explain," I reply not wanting to tell him that I still like him. "Do you still do?" He askes, his voice sounding hopeful. "Maybe," I say, my face tomatoe red. I checked the time, I was expected home by eleven. "You going soon? He askes. I just nod. "Can i walk you to your car?" He offers.  "Yeah, sure," I reply as we stand to go.

He gives me his phone as a signal to put my phone number. "How many guys have you kissed?" He askes randomly. "Why do you ask?" I laugh giving him his phone back. "Donno, just asking." He smiles. "One," I blush. "Oh, Jason right?" He askes. "Yup, you?" I ask. He looks at me and says before i get in the car "Four. But you're going to make it five."

                       '♡'

I couldn't sleep that night. I was panicking. Zach said he was going to kiss me. I didn't know if I was supposed to tell anyone but as a girl I was really thinking of telling Gwen. She knew about my crush. I could tell Abbie too but not now. Now my brain had to cool from the news.

I used the bus to school the next morning wearing one of my best outfits. And I spent extra time on my hair too. "Hmm. Someone looks extra hot today," Gwen complimented walking up to my locker. I bit my lip trying to suppress blushing. "What? I just decided to start dressing like you, hot," I lied. "Well thank God you did honey." She said absent mindedly checking out a guy at the other side. I sighed and dragged her to first period and we had that together. I couldn't concentrate. I kept on thinking. What if he was joking? It could be a dare or something. But I had to see him. I had recieved a lot of compliments before lunch. As I walked over to my locker to drop my stuff and head for lunch, I felt two palms on my eyes. "Umm, Michael?" I tried. The hands were muscular and the fingers were long. And he smelt nice too. But he didn't smell like Michael. I turned around only to see Zach. "Zach!" I said trying to not sound surprised. "Hey Jo," He smiled and my face lit up. We talked and I totally forgot about lunch. He knew how to keep a conversation going and he shared his burger with me. When he heard the siren, people began to come back and stare because he was talking to me. Like sharing a burger and flirting! "Got to go now, social network?" He asked. "Twitter," I replied. We exchanged handles and he winked at me and left. He winked at me.

I still stared at nothing but space and the wink kept on replaying in my head. Just then Gwen and Abbie came over. Bringing me back to reality. Then Michael came and he looked pissed. Then I remembered. I was going to eat lunch with Michael. I got so carried away by Zach I didn't remember. "Im so sorry..." I started but he just held his hand up to silence me. "Whatever, heard Zach was busy chatting you up. I see why you couldn't come." He simply said. He looked hurt but didnt say anything as we all walked out of the school building. Gwen and Abbie gave me the look that said, 'You've got some explaining to do miss'. Ugh. Friends complicated things sometimes. After much pressure and torture, Gwen and Abbie finally made me spill what happened. I omitted the kiss part though. Zach said that our business is our business and I decided to keep it that way. I was going to keep him no mater what.

I know that sounded like obsession but to me it was love. That was true love, right?
