Chapter 33

Narrator's point of view

After Violette informed Dumbledore that Arthur Weasley was in deep trouble, He made sure that he was well adjusted and saved by the order. Arthur was not, unfortunately, With the order seeing as he still has work in the ministry when he got jumped by Bellatrix's lackey but thankfully, no permanent damage has been done.

The Weasley's were disturbed and made sure that their father is alright and well. They all gathered in the Grimaulds for Christmas dinner including the Potters, Remus and his wife. All in while the only family missing was the Black who decided not to join them for Christmas holidays and instead went to Scarlet's house which she bought once they arrived in England 2 years ago.

Violette couldn't say a proper goodbye to Hermione who decided to celebrate the holiday with her friends in the Grimaulds since Arthur was injured. The two girls spent their last night occupied in their dorm room, cuddling and all, spending their time together since it will be 2 weeks before they see each other again. That was what Hermione thinks and Violette has other plans.

The Black are having christmas dinner and only a few hours left until it's december 25th. They have many food that would feed an entire village but no one to share instead, they made sure none of it will go to waste. Scarlet plans on bringing it before new years to their friends, planning on surprising them.

Sirius outdone himself and bought tons of gifts for his daughter and Scarlet, he missed a lot of their life and wanted to make up for loss times. The only secret was, Violette didn't know it since it was hiding in a room somewhere in the house waiting to be opened tomorrow morning with the rest.

"Sirius you are going to destroy the turkey— Give me the knife!" Scarlet squealed and tried to steal the silver blade from Sirius' hands but he held it on the sky behind him so no one would get hurt.

"Excuse you— I am excellent in cutting a bird." Sirius countered, two bickering like children which brought a laughter to Violette who sat idly by besides her mother.

"Guys the food will get cold." The youngest whined had her heart feeling warm to spend the holidays with her whole family. Not that her cousin and his family isn't here but she will make it up by showing up in new years.

"See, Scarlet. Your daughter is hungry and you're arguing with me over the first cut." Scarlet huffed and sat back to her seat and watched as her love cut the turkey in front of them.

The three spent the rest of the night laughing, drinking a few sips of wine (Which Scarlet made sure that Violette would only have a little.) and eating together like a family. Sirius didn't feel this type of warmth and love in his life and what makes it special is that this is his own family. The one he didn't get the chance to know since the beginning but he will make sure that he will know until the end.

Sirius made sure that Violette got inside her room, afraid that she'll see his presents that he will set up under the christmas tree before the sun rises. Scarlet helped ofcourse and also had a hand in multiple gifts they bought.

The only one in her room, grabbed her present from her closet and there were two small box. One had a black watch that would suit very well to her father, and another where a silver bracelet she handpicked in London while their family went there to buy gifts for their friends. Violette made sure that when she bought it, no one will see it and the only thing that her parents saw when they reunite in the city was a few shopping bags dedicated for Harry and the others.

But the bracelet she bought was none like any other jewellery. The store she went to was an old store where wizards and witches would go for enchanted things like what she bought. It will protect anyone who wears it from any death curse at only 1 time. If got struck more than once then the magic it has will falter. The only normal thing she bought was the watch.
