Narrator's point of view
(A/n: Short chapter)
In the span of days since Dumbledore has disappeared, The ministry of magic appointed Dolores Umbridge as Headmistress which caused a lot of annoyance to the students. Those to who were involved in the 'Dumbledore's Army' had a special detention from Umbridge herself. They got inside a classroom, the large metal doors locking them so no one would plan on escaping.
As they all drew lines, Violette kept glancing over and over to her side where Hermione sat. She would just normally write it and block everything out but now, she has someone to worry about. So every letter she wrote, it would be painful but at that point, she didn't care. Violette balled up her anger and aggressively wrote on the Parchment, can't deny that the pain was unbearable for her like no one else.
After an hour of their so called punishment, the doors opened and Violette couldn't even talk right now. She saw Cho, anxiously waiting by the door. She sighed disappointedly and walked past her like anyone else, wanting a moment to rest.
She didn't even hear her name being called by Ron who noticed her change of behaviour. "She's mad, isn't she?" He asked Hermione who watched her figure disappear amongst the crowds.
"She is." Hermione whispered, clutching her wrist from the pain. "I'll go talk to her." She excused and tried to catch up with her Girlfriend who was already closing in on the Gryffindor wing with the others.
Once they have arrived by the common room, many were complaining about a certain Ravenclaw who told on them. Some were even mocking her and got pissed that she didn't got to experience the lines. Violette didn't want to think badly of her distant friend but all the accusations and on how they got caught all leads to her.
Violette sighed once again once she entered her room. She grabbed the cloth from her desk and carefully placed it on the back of her left palm. She sat down by the window, opening it fully for the wind to come in. Even though it still wasn't night, she enjoyed the little things that would make her calm down. In fact, the main one just came inside the room, their situation was already experience months ago. Wherein, Violette would go back from detention and she would walk her way by the window alone and Hermione coming inside at the right time.
The muggle born closed the door gently and walked her way to the girl who sat on the floor.
Violette flipped the cloth over to a clean side and took Hermione's injured hand as gently as she could and covered it with the small towel. "You okay?" She asked, plopping her chin on top of her un-injured palm while looking over the girl besides her.
"Little blood, remember?" She tried to lighten up the mood but was no use. The two was in much pain but neither was going to tell.
"It will be much more painful tomorrow. You should already go to the infirmary for meds." Violette said, wanting to protect her but can't since the damage was already done.
"Did you go there when you first got this?" Hermione raised one eyebrow which she knew that the Half blonde would shake her head.
Sighing, "You shouldn't tolerate me, Hermione. You should get that checked out before it gets worse." She pointed at the hand.
"Stop being fussy. I'm fine." She assured her and laid her head on Violette's shoulder, feeling comfortable in their position.
They fell into a comfortable silence, Violette closed her eyes, feeling wonderful despite the pain in her hand. "Hermione." She called, the tone of her voice already brought a smile to Hermione's lips.
"I love you too." She whispered and held her closer, not wanting to let go any sooner. Violette lightly smiled, planting a small kiss on the girl's head before going back to her original position.
"If it's anyone's fault, It's ours." Hermione started, as Violette's mood was going downhill by the minute since she step foot out her dorm.
Harry and Violette walked side by side, slightly feeling guilty for getting the others caught. Mostly it was Violette since she knew that this wasn't a good idea.
"It's mine, I talked you into it." Harry apologize when they stopped walking by the middle of the bridge. The sky was grey, a fog surrounded their surroundings. It was like a perfect day for misery and all.
"It's fine. The damage is done anyways." She smiled and leaned over the ledge, facing her friends that looked dreadful like she is. "I just wish the others didn't have to go to detention."
"They knew what they signed up for. They're just sorry that we got caught." Ron explained.
"The price was Dumbledore being wrongfully accused..."
