A/N: Hello my lovelies and happy Tuesday! I hope you all had a splendid week and weekend, mine was very relaxing. Though I did put up many Halloween decorations--I'm kind of a decorating junkie *especially* for Halloween.

Question of the week: Do you love Halloween and will you be dressing up this year?

I know Covid has thrown a wrench into many of our plans this year, but gosh dang it, it will NOT stop me from dressing up! I'm planning to be Link from the Legend of Zelda (pictures on Halloween will follow, of course c:) What will you guys be doing this year? Let me see your costumes and let's do our own Wattpad-Halloween-Virtual bash! Take that Covid!

Above is the picture I used to loosely describe Rebecca. c:

As always, thank you so much for supporting me and my writing. And thank you for coming back every week to read more. I love you guys, seriously. Don't forget to vote, comment, and follow. Happy reading! (っ◔◡◔)っ

The cafe buzzed all around her as she swooped from one station to the next behind the counter that morning. Her feet were starting to ache in her shoes, her feet swelling from the pregnancy as much as the heat. But she ignored the pain, smiling and chatting with customers as the morning rush sifted through the shop.

Other than her swelling feet, she felt lighter and her mind was clearer than it had been in months. After a successful meeting last week with Finn and Royce at the historian's, and her late night dinner and dance with Royce at the diner, she had been practically floating in bliss and excitement. She had even gotten her sleep schedule back on track and had gained back all the weight she had lost in addition to gaining three more pounds on top of that. She touched her belly for a moment as she waited for shots to pull from the espresso bar. It was finally rounding out, a lot more noticeable than before under her apron.

She swirled the shots in the mug and slowly poured the frothed milk on top, creating a smooth, pointed leaf design at the rim. She smiled as she passed it off to Debra, waiting at the other counter. Debra praised her skills and thanked her before heading to her normal table and pulling out her magazine. It was an issue of HGTV today. That reminded her, she needed to pick out a shade of orange paint for Royce's front door next time she went into the general store. She made a mental note to stop by after work and pick one out so Josie could order it for her.

She glanced across the room, full of regulars and less frequent customers all settled at their tables with laptops, magazines, newspapers and other materials, along with their cups of coffee and bags of pastries. She sighed out a breath of relief and settled onto the stool behind the register, propping her feet up on a small shelf behind the counter. She groaned internally at the relief as her swollen feet pulsed in her sneakers. A moment later, the door chimed and she peeked up to find a blonde woman enter the cafe.

She had on a long, flowing shirt the color of a stormy sea and black leggings peeking out beneath. She had rings glinting on both hands and a thick necklace hanging halfway down her chest. Her hair was as light and bright as the sun's rays and waved around her heart shaped face perfectly, topped with a broad, woven sun hat, like the kind you used at the beach. Laina's eyes followed her chic and petite form as she walked up to the counter, before the woman finally slid off the wide sunglasses that covered much of her face.

She smiled politely at Laina as her ringed fingers clutched her sunglasses on the countertop. She was even more luxurious and beautiful without her shades. Her mauve lipstick and contoured cheeks made her look like a model and her bright, chocolatey eyes accented by long, black lashes blinked slowly at her. She was gorgeous, like someone you'd see in a magazine. Her makeup and clothing surely took a long time to put together, but she made it look effortless. Laina had the slightest pang of self-consciousness as she stood before her in her mint green cardigan and syrup splattered apron, but that quickly faded as the woman smiled at her.
