ARSHI: MY LIPSTICK GIRL

Part - 3

               Shashi, Kushi's father. He is a good man but when it comes on spending money, he is stingy, too stingy to buy a lipstick for Kushi. Kushi hates her father for his stinginess and is afraid of him for his anger but other than that he is not to be complained. Even for a parents' meet, he won't go as his petrol will waste and could spend it for some other purpose so, he would tell Garima to attend the meeting during her schooling. When Kushi comes homes exhausted from a very sunny day, her father won't allow her to switch on the cooler as it increases the current bill and it is allowed to switch on between 10:00 pm to 02:00 am. He would keep an alarm to off it. Seeing things like this, Kushi would feel that they are in poverty but they aren't. She would fight sometimes and becomes quiet when her dad's anger rises. Kushi would complain to her mother about this but being his wife, she supports him saying that he had undergone so many bad things in his small age. But Kushi being Kushi, she would say, 'If it happened like that then why don't he spend his earnings for his comfort, not for him but at least for his family. Life is short. We should know how to spend our life at that time.' When Garima says her to convey this to her father but simply runs away saying, 'Your husband and you make him understand. If he thinks me as a child, he will definitely try to give comfort to me'. These kinds of conversations were common between the duo. Shashi was silent mostly. He would always keep on thinking about his father who suffered from a great poverty. He was a victim. He knew his father had not done any savings for his son. It was all his hard work to stand in this current position. Kushi was a nice child but too talkative and sometimes a fighter too. He knew about his daughter's thoughts but he couldn't help for being this stingy. According to him, he was not a stingy person but saving for his daughter's future. He could not make this point get into his daughter's mind. He knew one day that she will understand that. That's when he received a call from her college. He sighs thinking even during her masters, she does mischievous things.

After half an hour, as Kushi expected it was her mother who arrived there. Garima's face was as normal as ever because she got used to this.

Kushi: Maa, don't worry, this time the mistake is not mine.

Garima: I have heard this numerous times.

Hod: Oh great! You have come. Your daughter had made a huge mistake. She is not a kid to do such things. And this is not the first time, Mrs. Gupta.

Garima: What did she do?

Hod: See yourself!

Garima saw a boy was beaten up badly and there was a bandage in his head.

Hod: This time, your daughter has gone too far. She beat that boy for a small reason.

Garima looked at Kushi for an answer.

Kushi: He pushed me and my lipstick got broken

Said with tears in her eyes.

Hod: For a silly reason, she beat a boy black and blue. Plus, he is a junior

Kushi: So, is it okay if I beat my seniors

Garima: KUSHI!

Hod: For your kind information, you are the senior here.

Garima was silent and this made Kushi understand that she is in terrible situation. She slowly moved to her room but stopped when she heard her mother's voice.

Garima: No food today, get back to your room and you are not allowed to come out to watch bigg boss.

Kushi: Maa?? It's not fair.

Garima: What have you done? Is it fair then?

Kushi: Fine

Kushi went inside her room and shut the door and giggled to herself. She knew what punishment her mother would give. So before handed, she bought extra sandwiches from Aakash' money and packed it to bring it home. And the bigg boss, she would watch it on her phone, she uses Aakash account to watch live. What's the big deal. She smirked to herself and switched off the light and sat to watch her favourite show with her sandwiches.

Arnav Singh Raizada, a handsome hunk. He owns the AR designs. He is the king of fashion world. Not only he designs the best costumes, he is also the king of cosmetics, the CEO of AR cosmetics. More than AR designs, his AR cosmetics has a great reach. But it still needs him more than AR Designs as he hadn't got much experienced staffs to work. As mentioned already, he is a person who himself doesn't understand himself. AR cosmetics and AR designs has organised an internship in his company. His PA has sent the brochure to various colleges. He immediately got caught a name in the internship list, Aakash. He called his brother.

Arnav: Aaku?

Aakash: Hello, why di...

Arnav: Why did you apply for the internship. You could have said me and you don't need to apply in your own company.

Aakash: Bhai, I wanted to come as an ordinary person and not as a raizada.

Arnav: Good to hear but

Aakash: Bhai!!!

Arnav: Okay okay.

Aakash: When will you release the list?

Arnav: Today noon.

Aakash: Okay bhai, bye.

Arnav: Take care.

After cutting the call, he called his PA to release the list by noon.

By noon, the list was released. Aakash saw the list and was terrified not seeing Kushi's name. But he knew, she is good in her academics and also, she has a good experience in other internships too. He immediately called his brother.

Aakash: Bhai, why Kushi's name is not there?

Arnav: Who is she?

Aakash: My friend. She is good in her academics; she is a brilliant student. She doesn't know that the list has been released but can you check again and see whether you can add her or not.

Arnav: Okay, don't worry. I'll see to it and call you within 10 mins.

After 5 minutes,

Arnav: Aaku, she is not good in her academics, I think you are mistaken.

Aakash: I have sent her certificates to your mail check it now and see.

While seeing,

Arnav: Aaku, but she had not submitted these certificates, then how can I select her?

Aakash: Bhai, it could be by mistake. Can you reconsider her alone? I swear she is a good student.

Arnav: Okay, Aaku. Anything for you

Aakash: Thanks bhai, I will ask her about this.

Arnav: Okay, come home soon.

Arnav was thinking of his bhai's friend. How could she be careless, even if she wasn't a bright student, why all her certificates were wrong. He suspects something to be wrong with that girl. He asked his PA to send a mail to Kushi asking her to join the internship.

Here, Aakash went to Kushi who was in the canteen to convey this happy news.

Kushi: Hey, where have you been?

Aakash: As I promised, here are your lipsticks and a good news for you.

Kushi left her food and jumped in joy seeing new sweethearts.

Aakash: You have been selected as an intern in AR Designs.

Kushi: Whattttt!
