Alissa's P.O.V.

I woke up the next day with a groan. After making sure Orryn was safely handed off to the new protector and then spending the rest of the day searching warehouses down at the docks for Sage with the interruptions of the hydra and costume clad Bruce and Dick, I did not want to be awake right now. I hate being an early-riser. I went into the bathroom and took a nice, hot shower, removing the burn bandages as they had finished healing. I'd just finished packing for the day and was gonna head downstairs for some toast when something odd happened. My bedroom doorknob wouldn't turn. I jiggled it again to double check and it was, without a doubt, locked. I shake my head and head over to my window, unhooking the latch and pushing it open. They're dead wrong if they think a locked door can keep me in this room. Although I have to wonder why they did it in the first place. I jump down from the sill and do a somersault to absorb the impact. Looking back at my open window and shaking my head one more time, I trek my way across the manor's huge backyard and out into the city.

Bruce's P.O.V.

It was just a little bit after four in the morning when I started hearing movement on the other side of the door. I heard the shower tap turn on for 10 minutes and then the thump of footsteps as Alissa walked around her room, getting dressed and packing what she needed for the day. After about a half-hour the doorknob jiggled for a second, and then stopped. The handle jiggled again experimentally for a second before footsteps could be heard receding from the door. I heard a scrape and clink and then a creak and then a very faint thump. Wait a minute, don't tell me she jumped out the window. I stand up from my chair on the other side of the hall and unlock the door, opening it to see Alissa's window hanging wide open and swaying in the early morning wind. I walk over to the window in three strides and see Alissa's shrinking figure walking towards the back edge of the property. Clever, that one. Didn't even panic when she discovered the door was locked.  I left the room and was going to go back to bed when I stopped for a moment and got the urge to follow her. I knew that I was prying more into this than I ought to be and that it wasn't like me, but some gut feeling told me that something was going to go very wrong today. I left a note on the kitchen table and went down to the Batcave to suit up and get a look at where she was currently.

-------Time Skip Brought by the Bat's Untripable Cape-------

the first few hours were fairly uneventful as Alissa searched through two abandoned warehouses. Then something utterly bizarre happened... (FYI, in my story, Bruce, Damian, and Jason are all going to be mortals blessed with the Sight)

Alissa's P.O.V.

I'd gone through two warehouses when I decided to check up on Sage again. I had tried earlier, but for some reason, the call didn't go through. Thankfully it did this time, but something was wrong. The area behind Sage had changed. He wasn't strung up in chains in a dark warehouse anymore, he was tied to a chair in a well-lit room that didn't appear to have any windows.

"Sage? What's going on? Where are you?" I could hear the fear edging into my voice. Sage looked up and gave a weak smile when he saw me.

"Hi Alissa."

"Where are you? You're not chained up anymore and while I'm happy you aren't, it leads me to suspect you aren't in the warehouse anymore."

He nodded. "They moved me this morning. I saw the warehouse number on the way out before they covered my head again."

"What number? And where did they take you?"

"Uhh, number 52 I think.  As for where they took me, I think it's underground somewhere. I can smell clay deposits through a crack in the room's wall."
