Aadi quickly ran to get the form for the fight.
On the way, someone pushed him from behind and he fell. He looked back to see who the hell that person was. But his face turned white on seeing him. He knew he is in great trouble...The person was none other than Arnav, their senior to whom they had lied during the fight with Monty. The trio tried their best to avoid him till now. He had no plan now to save himself.
Arnav:
Oh! So the great Aditya is here hmm.. Are you going to take part in this competition? Do you have any plans this time so that your opponent can't fight with you?Aditya:
We already apologized to you for that. I know it was wrong but there were no other options. It was not a competition so there were no rules. We had to try our best.Arnav:
Accept it that you are just cheaters.Aditya:
No, we are not. We just did some planning and fought in a different style.Arnav:
Well, at least you didn't back off. That is something. You know I was in a complete mood to beat the shit out of you. But there is something in you that prevents me to do that. By the way, Don't ever come in my way again. All the best. With that Arnav turned and went to the other side. But before he could go too far, Aadi called him. He said,
Aditya:
Sir, ummm.... please I have a request. Can you at least listen to me?Arnav ignored him and kept walking. But when he found out that Aadi is following him, he turned and said,
Arnav:
What do you want? Didn't I tell you to stay away from me?Aditya:
Yes, but please listen to me once. I know you think that I am a cheater and you hate me. But please, I need your help.Arnav:
No.Aditya:
Please please please... at least listen to me.Arnav sighed and said:
What do you want?Aditya:
As you know I want to participate in this competition. Can you please teach me the basics? I mean the rules and all.Arnav:
So you think you can learn boxing in just a week. I know you are a fool but to this level... just amazing.Aditya:
I know I can't be a professional in one week. But at least I can try to improve a bit. I want to a great fighter like you. It would be a small step in that way. And you know like others say, "Winning is not as important as participation."Arnav:
Meet me after school on the ground. I will see if you are any good. Also, it depends on my mood. So don't take it for sure.Aditya:
Thank you so much!! I am grateful to you. With that Aadi went to the office to fill the form. He was excited and nervous too. He wishes that Arnav agree to help him. He can't ask for the help of his coach because he had just started his training and so he is not sure if his coach would allow him to participate.
Aadi went to Isha and Sam and explained to them everything about his meeting with Arnav.
Sam:
Wow, dude!! You like playing with fire. Don't you ever get scared?Aadi:
I do get scared but I like to take chances.Isha:
All the best, Aadi. Btw are you telling you parents about it? Also what about your coach? Would he allow you to participate without any training?Aadi:
I haven't thought about it but I will see. My father and coach know each other. So either I have to tell both of them or neither of them. After thaf, they went to their classes.
The rest of the day was uneventful. After school, Aadi went to the ground and found Arnav there. He went to him.
Arnav:
Follow me.Aadi started following him. Just a few streets away, he found himself standing in front of a gym. They entered. Many people there greeted Arnav. Aadi deduced that Arnav is quite famous there.
What he saw inside the gym was a completely different world. It was full of people practising like they have to go on a war. The strong punches of those people would be enough to kill a person in one go. He was quite amazed too.
While he was admiring the scene, Arnav called. He said,
Arnav:
I don't have time to waste on you. So instead of daydreaming, pay attention. This person here is going to fight with you. I want to see where do you stand. Get ready. Quick!!Aadi looked at the person. They both have almost similar height but his opponent was quite muscular and looks strong. It seems that he is practising from quite some time. He went to a side, kept his bag there, drank some water and returned.
