Aadi got up in the afternoon, after a peaceful nap. He had 1 hour to plan an escape route to the gym. He tried standing up so that he could examine the damage. But to his relief, his leg was alot better and the pain was bearable. After getting ready, he went downstairs.

His mom was in the kitchen as she had taken a day off. He went to her and said, "Hey mom! I wanted to ask you something."

Mom:
You are not going anywhere.

Aadi:
But mom, listen to me first.

Mom:
Ok, what is it?

Aadi:
I really want to go to Sam's house. I am bored completely. And my leg is perfectly fine.

Mom:
No, you are not going.

Aadi:
Please mom. I can also ask him about the school, so that I am not behind in my work.

Mom:
Tomorrow you have this tournament at your school. So there's going to be no studies. You can visit him tomorrow and complete your work.

Aadi:
Mooooommmmm.... for just 1 hour. I am not asking to go to another city. It's just 15 minutes distance and for just 1 hour. Please...

Although Aadi's mother denied him, he still kept pestering her for 15 minutes. Finally, fed up with all this, she allowed him for just 1 hour. That was all Aadi want.

Mom:
But how will you go there? I don't have the car right now. I can't allow you to cycle.

Aadi:
Actually.... I had already called Sam. He would be here in 10 minutes. I know how much you understand me and love me.

Aadi kept buttering his mother by showering extra love. His mother just rolled her eyes and went to complete her work.

Aadi picked up his bag and went outside. Sam was already there to pick him up. He explained everything to Sam.

Sam:
Are you really mad? You are injured but you want to go to the gym just for that stupid tournament.

Aadi:
Please Sam, not now. I am already late. And secondly, my leg is not fractured or something. It was just a small injury.

Sam:
Fine. Whatever you say.

Sam dropped him to the gym and asked him to call when he gets free.

Aadi went inside and tried to find Arnav. But he was not there. Just then, he saw Nick coming towards him.

From their first fight, they had got close. Nick would always motivate him and sometimes, treat his injuries too. He was like a big brother to him.

Nick:
Hey Aadi, how are you?

Aadi:
Hello. I am fine. Just trying to find Arnav.

Nick:
Oh yeah about that, Arnav may not be here today. He had told me to tell you to do keep practising.
I would be helping you if you have any trouble.

Aadi:
Bu...but how could he not come today? Tomorrow's the tournament.

Nick:
Hey... hey relax. He has taught you everything important. Now you know when to attack, how to attack and how to protect yourself. There's nothing you can learn in just one day. And secondly, I am here. I will be seeing your training today. You can trust me, dude!

Aadi:
It's nothing like that. I trust you. You fight amazingly. I am sorry that I reacted without any reason.

Nick:
It's ok. Now start your warm-up.

Aadi started his warm-up. But he was not able to do his best. There was still the pain in his leg. He was trying hard to forget the pain and do his best.

But he could not deceive Nick. He was observing Aadi with suspicious eyes. When he saw Aadi again stopping in between the workout, he couldn't stop himself. He went to Aadi.

Nick:
Aadi what's wrong?

Aadi:
What do you mean by that? There's nothing wrong.

Nick:
Aadi don't lie. I am warning you. You have seen my good side till now.

Aadi:
Seriously Nick there's nothing wrong.

Nick:
Oh really! Then come with me.

He took Aadi to a side where there were fewer viewers.

Nick:
Start jumping
.
.
After 2 minutes
Jumping jacks (50)
.
.
Squats (20)
.
.
Burpees

Aadi was doing fine till squats but after 5 burpees, he couldn't continue. He sat down and closed his eyes. He knew he has fucked up. He should not have lied.

Nick:
What? You are fine right? Then why are you not continuing? Do you think I am a fool?

Aadi:
I am really sorry Nick. I fell today morning and hurt my foot. I thought I was ok and it's just a little pain. I had rested for the full day. I didn't tell you because you would have sent me back home.

Nick:
Yes, I would have because I care for you damnit. But you broke my trust. You know what do whatever you want. I don't care.

With that, he left. Aadi tried calling him but he didn't turn back.
He wanted to go behind him but avoided as he knows that Nick can't remain angry for long. He just has to send a sorry message every hour.

He continued whatever workout he could. It was 20 minutes when a person approached him. He couldn't see his face clearly. He had never noticed him before in the gym.

Aadi:
Yes, can I help you?

Unknown:
Quite the opposite. Want help with your leg?

Aadi:
But what could you do in this?

Unknown:
I know you have a competition tomorrow and how important it is for you. I have something which could help you with that.

Then the person showed him a little tablet.

Unknown:
See, this is a medicine. You can't get it easily from anywhere. This would help you. Take it.

Aadi:
But why should I trust you?

Unknown:
You can't. But what option do you have? I just have good intentions about you. Taking it or not is your wish. But keep one thing in mind. It takes 12 hours to work. So you have to take it by today evening. You have just an hour to decide.
The person slipped the tablet in Aadi's pocket and disappeared
It was quite weird. Aadi was confused. As 1 hour was about to be completed, he called Sam so that his mother doesn't start worrying.
He changed his clothes as he can't go home in those sweaty clothes.

Sam came within a few minutes and dropped Aadi. Aadi thanked him.
