Who's Mikey? Pt.1

I couldn't sleep. I just kept think about what This Meechie guy said. "Why did Mikey take the bullet? Why wasn't it her that got shot?"

I guess my acting ain't so good 'cause Lyla kept asking me over the last couple of days what's wrong and I told her nothing. I was trying to find the right time to ask because I don't know how to trust someone who allows others to get shot for them.

I was at the studio by myself working on the mix for the music. I started to add Drake 0 to 100, OG Marco u guessed it, and Kid ink body language. Then ontop of that give the girls a part in the dance. Amber told me to do Feeling myself by Nicki minaj fr Beyonce and Flawless by Beyoncé.

I heard the door open so I said "Studio's Booked!" I didn't hear the door shut so I turned around "I said the Studio's--" it was Some random girl.

Hendrix- Can I help you?
Girl- Names Talia, you?
Hendrix- Hendrix, Can I help you?
Talia- Well, I'm a ballet dancer.
Hendrix- This is not a ballet studio. This is hip hop.
Talia- I know. Your the instructor for R&B street expression.
Hendrix- Get to the point.
Talia- How would you like to go on a date with me? Movies, Skating?
Hendrix- Dancers and Teachers don't mix.
Talia- your not my teacher. plus your different from all the ones here.
Hendrix- I thought the Ballet Dancers were super focused on their dreams?
Talia- True, but I know I'm not going to make it, it's 25 other graceful girls in my section. You though, you turn down all the girls. You're smart, can dance to any beat thrown at you, and your really cute, yet your humble. Plus your body language tells that you been thinking lately.
Hendrix- Stalk much?
Talia- (chuckles and looks down, looks back up) No, but I've noticed you around campus, so would you like to go out sometime?
Hendrix- as you said, I been thinking lately, so I'll think about it.
Talia- don't take too long. a girl like me only comes around once.

She left and she was pretty. Kind of Carmel skin tone, curly black hair and short. Maybe a little shorter than Lyla. I would've straight up said no but I don't think I know Lyla as good as I think I do.

5minutes later.

Lyla walks in and starts yelling. "I don't want you hanging out with her!"

Hendrix- excuse me?
Lyla- Talia! Don't hang out with her!
Hendrix- how do you know about her and what's the problem?
Lyla- She's trouble. It's all over campus that she asked you out and you said maybe.
Hendrix- I told her I'd think about it!
Lyla- yeah, think about going out with another girl while you have a girl!
Hendrix- A girl that I don't really know.
Lyla- what are you talking about? you having doubts or something?
Hendrix- maybe, in just thinking about what Meechie said
Lyla- Meechie?! We went over that situation so what's the problem?

This was the right moment. I couldnt help it but it just came out.

Hendrix- who is Mikey?
Lyla- (looks shocked) what????
Hendrix- who is mikey, why did he take the bullet and why didn't you get shot.
Lyla- who told you about that?
Hendrix- let's just say Meechie stuck around campus long after your eviction.
Lyla- What else did he tell you? (Looked mad as balls up fists)
Hendrix- nothing. I thought you said there was no other secrets?
Lyla- That's a secret Mikey's mother, All of 718's parents, and the police will never know. He had no right to tell you what happened that night.
Hendrix- You can trust me. I won't tell anyone.
Lyla- (tears fall) I will tell you what happened, but you will never look at me the same. I know you won't tell, I just didn't want to anyone to think if me.......... like it was........ my fault. (starts crying)
Hendrix- ( walks over and hugs Lyla. Sit down in the wooden floor) I promise.

Lyla- 3 months ago- We were the 718. The best dance crew around. One night, we all went out to eat. Tatiana, Leo, Rocky, Tyler, Giana , Zaire, Issac, Mikey, and I.
Mikey was Meechie's little brother. we won a dance competition and won new computers for our school.
One of the other crews that lost walked in and started to pic a fight. We tried to walk away and they're leader pulled out a gun. He said " Y'all motherf***as cheated! Ya crew wack and ain't about s***. Next time, I won't hold back and leave you dead that night." we left quickly and a week later Mikey came to my house and confessed his feelings for me. He told me about how he was jealous of Meechie and that he loved me so much he'd die for me. I tried to explain to him that I loved him too just not in that way. He got mad and said " I hate that I love you! You've always rejected me!" He ran outside and I ran after him. Just so happened The leader of the other dance crew was driving down the street and pulled a drive by on us. they were aiming for me because I was the 718's choreographer, but Mikey jumped infront of this bullets for me. I took 3 bullets to the chest and one by his lower back. He almost died on that operating table. (Started crying)

Hendrix- It wasn't your fault.
Lyla- I know, but no one told that to Giana, Zaire, and Issac. they quit and never came back to the crew.
