Lyla's POV
We got our new dorm rooms. Everyone had a partner. i was with Talia. Amber was with Julia, and the other two guys were together.

Hendrix had his same dorm and shared with nobody. Lucky.

Anyways tonight we had a small party, on campus. Celebrating our advancement on the next level.

Me and Hendrix, dressed a like. Shoving it in Linderman's face ya know. Sticking it to the man.

As I left out early with Hendrix, so was Talia. She said she was going to Linderman' office.

I don't know if you remember but the last time we were there, we almost got kicked out. I'll try and pray for her.

Talia's POV

I got to Mr.Linderman's office, and man was I nervous. I took my seat as he faced the window.

Linderman- Hello Ms.Montez.
Talia- Hello.
Linderman- Congragulations, on your achievement.
Talia- Thankyou. Guess I was lucky.
Linderman- Luck is for the weak. Now since you are staying at this academy I have a mission for you.
Talia- That is?
Linderman- Taking down Lyla Matthews.

Talia- She's my friend, and my roommate.
Linderman- Exactly why I partnered you two.
Talia- why?
Linderman- Listen here, (Faces Talia) You will help take down Lyla Matthews or bye bye dance. I will make sure of it that you never dance on a professional stage ever. I have friends in broadway. Isn't that where you said you dream to be. Or was it the Joffrey Ballet School?

Talia- Why are you doing this?
Linderman- Because, I will not let some irrelevant random girl ruin my foundation. Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer.
Talia- If I disagree?
Linderman- Oack your bags, because you will never be in the dance industry as long as I breathe air.
Talia- Ok.
Linderman- For now, enjoy yourself tonight. Meet me here tomorrow morning before your acrobatics class.
Talia- Ok.

I left. I love Lyla and all but I got to think about DeMarco, and My mom. I also have to think about myself. I need the money an I need the education.

Without this academy, my family would be struggling on the streets, paying for dance.

I got back to the dorm, and I got dressed for the event. We were told to look nice since we will have investors and sponsors and all types of guys like that.

I feel bad for Lyla and Amber though. Hip hop dancers don't get as many investors or sponsors like Ballet dancers.

Truth is, because the two dance stylings are sooooo different, they have less respect for each other.

Ballet has grace, balance, and percision, technique. Hip hop comes as the dancer, it all about putting emotion, attitude, and fun into steps while being yourself.

I like hip hop, but my best chance is Ballet. I got here with a solo I wasn't even supposed to have. I like dancing here at the academy, but I don't want to betray my friends.

As I'm fixing my hair in the mirror, I look down, and there was this picture of me and Lyla taped on to the mirror. We were taking of guards of each other that day after practice.

Just fooling around. We asked Amber to take a picture of us walking away, we were like two peas in a pod.

I took the picture off the mirror, grabbed my purse, and headed to the ceremony.

Maybe, what they say isn't true. Friends are forever.
