"Guys!" Musica excitedly called out from his room. He had just finished his shower based on his wet hair and that he was wearing a white bathrobe. He immediately went down from the second floor. He held his tablet in one hand.
He approached Clarence and Sora in the living room. They both looked serious so he stopped with a question painted on his face.
"Good you're here now, Musica," Sora said.
"Hmm, yes?"
"We're actually waiting for you to come home," Clarence said.
Musica answered, "Well, I was staying at my girlfriend's place for a week, since I was away for two months. You know, catch up. So, what's up?"
Clarence and Sora stood up and lowered their heads before him. "Thank you very much for your hospitality."
Musica then remembered that they were going to leave the city if they couldn't find Clarence's sister yet. They were tied with a deadline that had lives at stake.
The two stood now straight.
"We wanted to tell you that personally," Clarence said with a smile. "You've been a great help to us in this human world. I swear in my name and in my whole clan that I will come back to return all your help to me and Sora." He then reached out a hand to him as a sign of oath.
Musica's face looked like he wanted to say anything so he didn't immediately shake his hand, but eventually he just took it and shook it.
"Like I always say, you're welcome," he said. "I'm glad to be of help."
Clarence nodded. "We will meet again once we find her."
With one last firm shake, he said, "I wish you good luck, guys!"
Musica added, "So, where are you heading now?"
"In a neighboring country. A rural one. We heard another story there. Hoping we may find even a single clue this time."
"We need to try our luck there," Sora said. "We must act on anything related, even if it's false information."
Musica folded one arm across his stomach and his fingers on his chin, as if thinking hard. "It's because you didn't even know you have a sister... Hmmm... You really can't remember at all? Even when you were young?"
Clarence lowered his eyes. "To tell the truth, I can't remember my past. All of us. We just woke up, already in our current form and human body. All we can remember is our respective names.
When we saw the first full moon after our awakening, we just turned into wolves, miraculously with still our mind and consciousness intact. Then we realized that we could turn into wolves on our own freewill except when the night is full.
That was 195 years ago. We haven't aged since then. Though some have died already."
He closed his eyes and shook his head. He tightly closed his fist and looked determined. "I hope she's still alive. Father might die soon. He wants to see her before that happens. I also want to see her already. I hope she's doing okay and living happily right now. Wherever she is."
Sora and Musica nodded in unison to encourage him.
After that minute of silence, Clarence realized that Musica was getting excited earlier but they cut him to say their goodbye and thanks. "Were you about to say something?"
"Yeah, actually. But I think it doesn't matter anymore."
"Let us hear it at least."
He looked hesitant to continue. He just sat on his own sofa chair and showed them his tablet.
