In the enormous garden of the palace of Suktimati, capital of Kingdom Chedi, lies a beautiful fountain which occupies the centre of that botanical. On its left, is a high raised platform which is surrounded by low raised, hand chiseled boundaries, short staircases on both the sides of the platform, it was made of pure red sandstone, where she practiced her dance moves.
Before it were many tables which were covered with white cloth, plates filled with abeer were kept on it. On the right side of the fountain, were numerous flowerbeds arragened symmetrical, hosting various exotic and indigenous flowers.
There was an empty space between the flowerbeds and the boundary of the palace, where various tubs with coloured water were kept.It was a fine morning, birds were energetically moving out of their homes, flowers bloomed showing their eternal beauty.
Dhristaketu stood near the tables, instructing the soldiers and his warrior sense alerted him of someone's presence and he knew it very well that who it was. He heard this tinkling of the anklets from his childhood, two soft hands reached to his cheeks, rubbing the hands full of abeer.
"Happy holi bhai! " she said excitedly.
"Happy holi to you too behena! " he turned towards her. She was dressed in a pale yellow lehenga, her hairs made up in a messy bun."I think you are busy bhai.. " she pouted.
"I think your Holi starts really very early, let others come Renu.. " said he.
"There's no time for holi bhai, and you know na how much I love to put colour on you.. " she said, while putting a small amount of abeer on his nose.
"I know.. I know... " he said while moving aback and threw a whole plate of abeer on her...
"HAPPY HOLI!" He yelled and ran towards the other side of the fountain, she too followed him and took some abeer in her hands too.
"You can't catch me.. your speed is like a tortoise.. " he laughed while standing on one side of the fountain.
"Bhai.. " she thundered while standing on the other side "Don't you dare to step on the flower bed.. " . He carefully moved beside the flowerbed.
Karenumati followed his actions and he got caught.
"Now where will you go bhai?? One side wall, one side tubs full of coloured water, one side one cute little flowerbeds and one side me... Where will you go... Hahahaha.. So what do you want this abeer or that water.. Choice is yours, hahahha" she laughed like a devil.
"Your choice behena... " he said hopelessly.
She threw the abeer on him and then very cleverly pushed him in the tub.
"This is cheating Renu!!"he grumbled while standing up, whole drenched with pink color.
