Dark turning to light

Chapter 7

Cassandra and Rapunzel made their way through the castles corridors. They knew a lot of the Saporians would be distracted with lance and shorty but there was no doubt going to be some one guarding the princesses parents. Just as they were about to round the corner that would lead them to the queen and king Cassandra grabbed Rapunzel by her shoulders and pusher her against the wall shushing her. "Cass what are-" she was cut off by the sound of peoples voices. "Yea two idiots are out front dancing around the square." The first voice sounded like a mans, deep and gruff. "Hm andrew is gonna have real fun with them i bet" the second voice said with a chuckle. This one they recognized to be clementine. Rapunzel and Cassandra looked at each other and smiled. It had been sometime since they had to actually fight someone but Rapunzel knew they could take the two Saporians on with ease, while Cassandra was glad she finally had the excuse to get back into action. The girls rounded the corner together hand in hand. When the Saporians realized who had approached them they got into fighting positions. An old man with a long mustache pulled out a dagger while clementine removed her wand from her belt. "Well if it isn't the little princess and her pet! I was hoping i would get the chance to fight you two!" Clementine yelled from her stance her face changing from anger to a smirk. Cass yelled out in frustration running at the small woman. The two clashed, Cassandra dodging the memory wands blows while clementine dodged her swords attacks.
That left the old man and Rapunzel. The princess looked this man up and down and smiled. 'This will be a piece of ca-' her thoughts interrupted by the man slamming her in to the wall face first. Rapunzel repelled herself off the wall and began fighting the man who was a lot more agile than she first thought. Eventually she got the upper hand and was able to knock the man unconscious. "Ooh... sorry" she said to the man who was out like a light. She looked up to see her friend standing over clementine holding her arm behind her back while clementine cried like a baby. "Cass! Cmon we don't have time for games!" Cassandra looked up disappointed before knocking the witch unconscious. They reunited and Rapunzel pulled Cassandra into a hug. When they pulled away Cass spoke "what was that for?" Rapunzel stared at her intently. "Just... felt like i haven't done it for a while." Cassandra rolled her eyes and tried to act annoyed, but she couldn't hide that she loved Rapunzels hugs and had noticed the lack of them. The girl walked into the throne room silently and saw the king and queen sitting in the same positions they were earlier. "Mom, dad, please come with us." Rapunzel pleaded with her parents. The adults looked at each other than back the girls in front of them "i was told by my most trusted advisor to stay here and out of danger." Cassandra knew he was talking about andrew and huffed with annoyance. "Well your highness, andrew told us to retrieve you for him and bring you to a place that is even more safe!" She lied quickly, though half of the sentence wasn't a lie and they really were going to bring them to a safer place. The couple shot up from their seats "why did you say that in the first place! Anything for my advisor andrew!" The king said happily leading his wife down the steps. The two girls looked at each other and groaned, but it had worked so they couldn't be to mad.

Once they had the queen and king settled in Rapunzels room they headed down stairs to the front where they knew the battle was going on. From the clanging for swords they knew it wasn't over yet. They picked up speed excitement rising. This was it, they were going to defeat the Saporians and get everything back to normal. Rapunzel thought of all her friends, 'Eugene, Cassandra, lance, hootfoot, shorty, and now varian. Everything was going to be perfect again, they would get back on the road, and maybe even bring varian with them! He would be a huge help to them and she really had missed him over the dew months she was away. They'll discover the mystery of the black rocks with him, and find the counterpart of the sundrop , she would keep her promise and free his father. Should could even-' Rapunzel was pulled out of her thoughts yet again but this time instead of an attack on her grabbing her attention it was a blood curdling scream from a fimilar alchemist from down the hall, followed by one of panic from her boyfriend.
