"And why should I believe you?"
Dominga snorted, stalking past him. Out of spite and suspicion, he marched after her, oh no, he wasn't done with her just yet.
Inexplicably, the girl seemed to lead Evan near a small hill. Wary, he pursued her few feet away. The tall grass gradually shortened the higher they stalked up. Dominga was at the top of the hill, standing unassisted, staring down as Evan climbed up to her. He noticed small purple sparks flying around the air, and the unusual amount of flowers decorating the hill. Dominga held a blank stare as he finally reached the top, staring at the swirling purple portal on the ground. It seemed to swish around like water, and he was enamored to bend down and touch it. But the girl beside her nudged him, as if it was a warning.
"I've come to the conclusion that no matter what I do to try and do the right thing," Dominga began, "I'll always be haunted by the voices in my head, telling me, begging me."
"Begging you what?"
"That whatever I do," she glanced up at Evan with a hollow look, "Is the wrong choice."
He gave no voice to her allegation. Evan's eyes trailed back to the portal swirling before him. Was Alec actually there? Did he believe, that maybe, Aly and the Krew were there?
Alec had no idea, all he did was take the leap of faith.
And a knife to a throat.
His blood ran cold. Evan remembered Alec's past state, he seemed so desperate and depressing. His mood was hard to be around, even Evan tried to make space between themselves while speaking. It just gave off, cold vibes.
Maybe...Dominga wasn't lying?
Evan threw that out of his mind. Alec was his friend, maybe he should ask for his account before believing in anything else.
But then something else struck his memory.
Dominga cleared her throat, "So there. Go, if you wish," she shook her head, "No one'll stop you."
It was dead silent in the air. No one dared to speak. Until the bold girl piped up.
"Well?" it was like a beckoning.
"Well, I obviously can't keep Kyran here by himself," he muttered. Dominga sighed and walked away.
"I'll go fetch him. You better get ready, music freak."
Music freak?
Where in the world did she ever get that?
(Note: this. is. not. a. ship. thank you and have a nice day.)
Evan then frowned. How did Dominga knoe so much about them? He cleared his throat.
"Dominga?"
She stopped in her tracks, glancing back with a baffled stare, "What?"
"How did you know about Alec and that stuff...not that I believe it," he added quickly.
She crossed her arms and gave a crooked smile, "The Krew told me. Namely Funneh," Dominga walked away, "Now you have my word. Piece it together yourself."
And it all dawned on Evan.
Funneh was acting strange around Alec before.
"Fine, don't believe me. Instead, recall." Dominga's words finally made sense.
Why else was Funneh acting strange? The Krew were just on edge too..
"The Krew told me. Namely Funneh."
