With regards to robots, in the early days of robots people said, oh lets build a robot and what's the first thought? You make a robot looks like a human and do human things. That's so 1950s. We are so past that.
To put this into perspective. Apple's aren't actually green or red. The apple absorbs all the colors in white that you don't see and rejects the color you do. So the color the Apple rejects is the color you see not what it is.
