I think intelligence is a narrow branch of life. We claim no other animal is as smart as us( humans), but intelligence can't be all that important for survival. So many animals don't have what we call intelligence but yet they survive just fine on their own.

If God is the mystery of the universe, these mysteries, we're tackling them one by one. If you are going to stay religious at the end of the conversation, God has to mean more to you than just where science has yet to tread.

We define ourselves as intelligent, thats odd because we're doing the definition. We're creating our own definition of intelligence and saying " we are intelligent"
