Aqua's POV

I wake up and see the sun rays stream through my window. I get up in the normal routine and get ready for school. I promised Willow, Amandla and Emerald that I would meet up with them to practice our band. We still need to find someone for keytar. We have to practice the song I want to play for Cameron for when he comes home later this month. I grab my guitar and swing it over my shoulder along with my bag and leave for school. Along the way, I end up walking to school with Willow, Amandla and Emerald

"So are you sure you want to do the song "Better Than Ever" for Cameron?" asks Willow.

"Yes. It reminds me of how we were apart and how that's all in the past and how the past is behind us. It also reminds me that I use to be friendless until I met Jen, Josh, Cameron and you guys," I say. We continue to walk until we run into Carla and her best friend, Rini. The school's female bullies.

"Let's just ignore them and walk past them," I whisper.

"Hey, Phony," says Carla. I know she's talking to me but I ignore her. Suddenly, I feel someone grab me from behind and pull me back.

"When I talk to you, you listen. Got it?" asks Carla.

"I don't need to listen to people who try to bring me down to bring themselves higher," I say.

"I think you need to separate fantasy from reality. We're already on the top of the reputation chain. And you're already at the bottom," says Rini.

"All the expensive junk you guys brag about is fantasy. The reality is that you're an evil bitch, Carla. And, Rini, you don't need to follow Carla. You don't have to do what she says. You should feel the right to make your own choices. You should feel free to stand up for what you believe in," I say. Rini looks at me with an expression I can't read.

"Oh, please. Rini would never choose a slut for a friend like you," says Carla.

"For your information, I'm still a virgin," I say. Rini looks at me, then Carla then me again. She slowly walks up to me.

"I'm sorry, Carla. But I can't stand the way you treat me. I don't want to be friends with someone who threatens me just so I can do what they say. I'm sorry. But I choose Aqua," Rini says.

"Bye," we all say to Carla at once and walk away laughing.

"Did you see the look on her face?" asks Emerald.

"It was priceless," Willow says.

"I know, right?" asks Amandla.

"I wish I took a picture so I could send it to Cameron," I say.

"Aqua?" asks Rini.

"Yes?" I say.

"I'm really sorry about what I said to you since you've been here," she says.

"It's alright. You're one of us now. Wanna play keytar for our band?" I ask. Her face lights up and she hugs me. One thing leads to another and next thing you know, we're all doing a group hug.

"I'll take that as a yes," I say. We all continue walking to school. We haven't even gotten to school yet, and I'm already having a great day.
