"moving day!!" annabeth yelled, jumping into my arms. i twirled her around my house trying no to trip on the many boxes.
"save this romantic moment for later." sally jackson smiled, walking towards us.
"hello sally!" a giddy annabeth greeted. "ready to move?"
"im not coming with you sweetheart." she laughed.
"i see someone is overly excited..." percy pointed an accusing finger at his girlfriend. though he couldn't really blame her. he was finally moving out and into a New York apartment with the person he loved the most in the world. who couldn't be excited about that?
but, percy was such a momma's boy, he couldn't bring himself to be as excited as annabeth was. percy grew up right by his moms side, everyday he cared for him. she was his best friend. and he was sad to move away.
"how are you not, perce?" annabeth asked.
"i am, don't worry." percy faked a smile. he really wished he wasn't such a bad liar. they always saw right through him.
"you okay, percy?" sally asked, putting a hand on his shoulder.
"pfft," percy shrugged her off. "i'm fine. why?"
"you seem little down today. especially for such a monumental day. did something happen?" annabeth asked.
"guys please, i'm okay! now, these boxes wont move themselves will they? lets get to work!" percy walked away from the confrontation and started carrying boxes out of his childhood home to the moving truck.
sally and annabeth shared a worried look.
"he isn't okay." they both said at the same time.
"i'm just wondering if i did something wrong. like, maybe i pushed this apartment on him and he wanted one of the others we looked at, or-" annabeth rambled.
sally stopped her. "annabeth. trust me. percy is absolutely in love with the place you picked. he has been overly excited, please don't over think this okay?"
annabeth gave her a sad smile. "thank you sally. but, do you know anything that could be going on with him?"
she sighed. "i think he's just sad to go. you know? leaving the place he grew up in, the only one he has ever known. i think he will just miss it. get a little homesick."
"and miss you." annabeth added.
"what?"
"percy. he will miss you more than anything. don't underestimate his love for you, sally."
"oh annabeth," sally smiled, her eyes sparkling.
"still chatting?" percy threw the door open. "i just carried four boxes of my stuff down 6 flights of stairs! beat that!" percy stacked five boxes on top of each other and ran out the door again.
"you cant beat me, seaweed brain!" annabeth yelled laughing. she stacked five boxes as well on top of each other and ran after percy, sally could hear the both of them yelling and laughing all the way down the six flights of stairs.
how they were ever going to live together? she had no idea.
it was now later at night and they had unpacked some stuff in their new home. sally had left, percy had cried, and annabeth organized her new bookshelf.
other than that, all they did was look out the window and watch the new episodes of Modern Family.
they were almost done the season, when percy had an idea.
"you know what we should do, annie?"
"hm?" she asked.
"we should have an 'us' thing." percy said smugly.
"uh, what does that even mean? and we do have an 'us' thing."
"yeah?" percy asked rolling his eyes. "what is it?"
"blue cookies."
percy's eyes went wide. "ma'am... that's my thing!"
annabeth broke out laughing. "okay okay, then what?"
"like i mean, when people come over they will be like, 'wow i've never seen this in other peoples homes before.' or before when they come over they will be like, 'oh i love percy and annabeth's home, they have those funky mugs, and chairs.'"
annabeth just laughed even harder. "what is wrong with you!" she gasped between breaths.
"wrong with me?!" percy asked, incredulous. "it's a beautiful idea, excuse you!"
annabeth just kept laughing.
"fine. i guess i'll just make you admit that it's a great idea." percy shrugged. he had the best plan in mind, though a very dangerous one that never ended well when he tried it on annabeth.
"yeah? what is it?" she giggled.
"this!" percy paused the show, and pinned annabeth down on the carpet.
"percy no-"
he tickled her. yup, that was his form of torture. annabeth squirmed and protested, while percy tickled her armpits, back, neck, basically anywhere he could think of.
"please percy! stop!" annabeth gasped laughing. "i cant breathe!"
"admit it! i wont show mercy until then, my love."
"i wont!" annabeth struggled.
"i'll just keep at this then."
and he did until annabeth couldn't stand it anymore. "please. okay okay!"
"okay what?" percy smiled tickling her faster.
"i admit it it's a wonderful, creative idea! can we please do it, it would be so so cool!"
percy let go of her laughing harder than he ever had. "your face!"
"shut up, loser." annabeth said getting up. "i'm going to get you back for that. i swear."
"cant wait." percy smiled.
annbeth rolled her eyes, grabbing the car keys. "lets go."
"where?" percy asked getting up, grabbing a coat.
"you wanted to get funky stuff, correct?"
percy smiled, a wide smile. "i love you so much."
annabeth shook her head, but percy could see as she was locking the door behind them, that she was blushing.
