The boy and his father went through the woods to a cliff. It was a good place to look at the stars and know that there are more galaxies than the milky way, and more planets than earth.

"My precious sweet boy," The father said, kissing his son on the forehead.

He put his hands on his son's cheeks having one tear go down the father's face. It was his last day on earth he had to leave to go somewhere far away from his home planet.

"I love you," The father said, hugging his son.

"Why do you have to go?" The boy asked.

"I wish I could stay, I really do, but I need to go to a new way of work," The father replied.

The father gave the boy a gift. It was wrapped in paper with the boy's name on it, meaning it was for him.

"Open it when you're done with school and graduate okay," The father had said.

The father thought if he was old enough and had enough knowledge he could have his gift. The boy nodded in response and then gave his father a hug.

"I love you daddy," The boy says.

"I love you too."

The father and son walked back, but then a little critter raccoon came by.

"Oww!" The boy cries.

The father had grabbed him and ran away. In the car, he checked the boy's wound finding it on the bottom side of his foot. It was bleeding and since it was a powerful slash with the creature's claws it left him a scar. The father knew the galaxy was not always safe and happy. The father set his hands on the boy's shoulders.

"Before I go... " The dad sighed then continued, "Do know the galaxy will not always be safe. So be careful for me, okay?" The father asked the boy.

"I will," The boy replied.
