"Chris Felhopher."

It was Chris's day of graduation. He worked so hard and so many years from kindergarten to 12th grade. He went up the stairs of the stage and the man gave Chris his scroll, he then shook the judge's hand. Many people were clapping for Chris including his Mom, and Sister. He then stood on stage with everyone else for who was graduating. After when everyone was finally on stage the cameraman snapped a picture including many other people with their phones. Everyone was finally dismissed off stage.

"I'm so happy for you!" Chris's Mom shouted hugging him.

"Thanks Mom."

His sister then hugged too, "Well done," His sister said.

"Now let's go home!" Chris pleaded.

Chris wasn't the dress up type. He wasn't a hat, black fabric clothing, dress shoes, and dress pants person. He just liked his regular outfit.

When they drove home he then remembered what his father said, "Open it when you're done with school and graduate okay."

It was just liked he remembered his father's voice, loud and clear in his mind. When the Felhopher family returned home. Chris ran out of the car and opened the back door in a rush. He wanted to open his gift from his father. Although his dress clothes were really bugging him. He quickly changed to one of his favorite outfits or so he called it 'regular outfit'. His tennis shoes, shorts, a shirt, and finally a hoodie or sweatshirt. Chris really liked hoodies; he would wear them usually unzipped showing his shirt too. When he wore a sweatshirt he felt cool! Chris would even wear his hoodie to bed and before bed time as well.

"Chris I know what you're thinking," His mother said, opening his bedroom door.

"Grab that gift and head to the living room so we can all see it!" His mother had told him.

Chris followed her order, grabbed his father's gift from his closet and dashed to the living room. He wanted to know what his father had in store for him. His father disappeared two weeks after he left earth. So in conclusion they all thought he was dead. Chris was heart broken, but his father's gift reminded him of knowing his father was in his heart. He sat down on a chair while his Mother, and Sister were sitting on one couch close to each other. Chris's mother nodded telling him that he could now open it. Chris took a deep breath, then slowly unwrapped the wrapping paper. What Chris found was a piece of paper. Everyone was confused except his Mother.

There were words on it reading, "Ask your Mother."

Chris looked up to his Mom confused.

"Follow me Chris." His mother answered.

Chris got up and followed her with his Sister right behind him. Chris looked around amazed. Under the basement is an engine room. It has an old paint job and everything's rusty, with tools on shelves, but something stands out: it's big and bumpy, covered with sheets.

Chris holds a tag saying, "For: Chris my sweet little boy," Chris cries a little bit having a couple tears fall down from his cheeks.

He misses his Dad already, he always did when he wasn't home. His mother puts her hand on his shoulder.

"Your father was a great man Chris." His mother said, trying to calm her son down.

Chris nodded trying to wipe away the tears. Chris took a deep breath and then pulled the sheets off of the big object. It was a spaceship that had dust on it, but inside. It looked really neat, tidey, and clean like his Dad did not even lay a scratch on it. He went up some stairs onto the flight deck seeing a piece of paper clipped to the steering handle.

Chris unclipped it from the handle and read it, "Now you can venture the galaxy too Chris."

He held the paper to his chest feeling loved by his father. The ship was his now, the nice looking ship was his to keep.

Chris looked to the sky from the pilot window, "Thank you Dad," he said smiling.
