Chris leans against the outside of the ship waiting for Rocket, he then comes out of the ship with a belt around his waist with gadgets, tools, and on his back he holds a gun.

"Ready," Rocket answers.

Rocket then gives Chris his gun then nods. The duo make their way toward the center fountain to search for their bounty. Once the duo reaches the center fountain Chris sits on the edge of the fountain while Rocket uses his tablet-like scanner.

"So where is our bounty?" Chris asks.

"Somewhere around here, hears he likes to hang out in the lobby most of the time," Rocket replies.

"Ah," Chris says.

A couple minutes pass by, Chris imagines the 'doo doo doo doo doo' tone in his head.

"Found him!" Rocket says out of nowhere.

"Yes finally!" Chris says with a fist pumping up into the air.

Rocket points to where their bounty is, the man sits at a coffee table sipping tea.

"Rocket, get ready."

Rocket responds with a nod. Chris quietly sneaks behind the man with Rocket on his back. The man looks behind seeing them and has a mad face expression. The man gets up and sprints away.

"Don't let him get away!" Rocket shouts.

"I know," Chris replies.

The man runs down roads taking corner turns. Chris didn't give up that easy! Chris finds the man stopped at the end of an alleyway.

"Crap," The man says silently.

Rocket then shoots his gun showing an electric tazze come out and electrocuting the man.

"I got a bag, here Chris we can put him in here," Rocket says, taking out a bag.

"How can you carry that big of a bag?" Chris asked, surprised and confused at the same time.

"Duh I shrunk it," Rocket says.

"Hum," Chris replies.

Chris grabs the bag and puts the knocked out man inside the bag. Chris then lifts the bag onto his back as Rocket jumps back onto the ground on his feet.

"The buyer is at Nova Core," Rocket comments.

Chris nods and the duo once again make their way towards Xandar's capital. They enter the automatic door and walk over to the counter.

"I have a guy to turn in. Rocket, tablet please?" Chris says.

Rocket hands over the tablet to Chris. He shows the tablet to the service women to show the bounty.

"Yes, thank you we will get your payment soon," The woman says.

Chris nods, then they sit on some chairs waiting for their payment to arrive. Chris watches the man get escorted to a different room.

"You have a cute puppy," A woman says standing in front of Chris.

"What!?" Rocket starts to rage but Chris stops him.

"Sorry my friend can get irritated easily," Chris says in a nice manner.

"Oh sorry," The woman replies then walks off.

"It's okay Rocket she wasn't going to hurt you or anything," Chris says.

Rocket grumbles like an annoyed man.

"What's wrong?" Chris asks, tilting his head a bit.

"Nothing," Rocket lies.

"Rocket please don't lie to me."

"You don't need to know okay!" Rocket responds back but with a louder voice.

"Rocket keep it down," Chris says waving his hands.

"Hmph," Rocket crosses his arms in annoyance.

A woman comes out with a box full of units.

"Here's your units sir," The woman says, handing over the box full of units to Chris.

"Thank You mam, come on Rocket let's go," Chris says getting up off of the chair as Rocket hops onto Chris's shoulder.

The rest of the way back to the ship they both remained silent. Chris picked up Rocket and set him back on his legs on the ship floor.

"Rocket you can tell me, it's me Chris."

Rocket looks down to the floor then to Chris.

He sighs then Rocket starts to talk, "I don't know who to trust Chris. I'm worried that anyone will treat me like some pet and experiment like those jerks," Rocket says with a grumble and a few tears coming from his cheeks.

Chris kneels down to be even with his friend's height, he wipes a tear off from Rocket's fur and moves his chin to make Rocket look at him. Rocket has a sad face with sadness, and possibly a little anger. Chris quickly puts his arms around the raccoon and brings him into a hug. Rocket still sobs having Chris feel small water drops on the back of his hoodie.

"I will always be there for you Rocket," Chris says with a small smile.

"And I will be there for you too," Rocket responds with his voice a little quiet because he was still crying.
