A few minutes later Ray came in the room with a bowl of tomato soup and grilled cheese.

She looked at the food and sighed.

"I have to?" Phoebe asked, giving Ray puppy dog eyes.

"That doesn't work on me, you should know that by now. Eat." He glared while pointing at the food.

She growled and took an angry bite out of the grilled cheese. It was delicious. Ray was reading his book, while sitting on the floor in the same spot he was before.

Phoebe glared at him the entire time she ate.

"Done." She smiled proudly.

Ray got up to see one bites worth of grilled cheese left.

He arched a brow then glared.

"Really?" He crossed his arms.

"Mhm." She smiled childishly.

"Eat it."

"No." She teased.

"Phoebe Grace..." he warned.

"Ray..." she mimicked. She sat up and crossed her arms like him with a smile tugging at the corners of her lips.

He glared once again and picked up the last piece.

"Eat. It." He continued and put it at her lips.

Phoebe turned her head away.

Ray grabbed her chin and shoved the piece of grilled cheese in her mouth. She rolled her eyes and chewed it.

"Maybe you'll find a brain back there." He remarked with a smile on his face.

Phoebe heard the dinner bell and went out of her room, she saw Emma so she walked over to her.

"Hey Emma!" Phoebe gleamed with a fake smile on her face. She saw mom and felt waves of anxiety roll over her body.

"Hey Bee!" She responded with the same fake smile.

"Emma, Bee, let's go." Norman jumped in with the same smile plastered on his face.

Kids were running down the stairs like a stampede.

They started down the stairs after the other kids but they were stopped.

"About last night."

Phoebe felt a shiver go down her spine.

"Did you three go to the gate?" Mom asked with her normal sweet voice.

"To the gate? But that's against the rules. Besides we were tired from playing tag yesterday and Phoebe hasn't been able to go outside much. Right guys?" Norman shined, Phoebe knew that they were terrified. No matter how much she hated to admit, she was too.
